Where is the Honor in 2v1?

This game is amazing, the melee combat system is top notch, but the amount of 2v1, 3v1, and 4v1 is crazy. I know this will always be In the game, but I feel players should be rewarded for 1v1 battles more then they are rewarded for double teaming or triple teaming. For example:

    - If I win a 1v1, I would get the entire 100% XP for that kill.
    - If I 2v1, 3v1 or 4v1 an enemy, my teammates and I should only get 25% XP for the kill. Or even 0XP.

This would give players more incentive to not get involved in their teammates battles and allow their teammates to fight with honor and collect 100% XP for their victory, instead of robbing them of of their XP. If their teammate loses, they can then challenge the winner themselves for that 100% XP.

The ganging up tactic will remain in the game, and players can continue with it, but the reward would be less honourable. (XP)

If the handicap player manages to defeat all the enemies ganging up on him, he should be rewarded bonus XP.

Personally, if there are 3 enemy players in a base, for example in C, I would go for it just to test my skills. If I manage to kill at least on of them, I'll be happy. I don't care about 1 v 2's, 1 v 3's or 1 v 4's, because I played a lot during this Alpha test and I managed to learn how to play and even win against 3 opponents all by myself with a little help from the revenge system which I think it is great and I love it when that happens. It brings to me a lot of satisfaction like it was really worth all the hours I spent playing the game, even though I enjoyed it mostly.
If I would have to fight versus 2 enemies at the same time, I would rather do that than run away. I'll even join that fight if I am not challenged by both because I enjoy being put in that position to test my skill, my fighting skill. Only when you are versus multiple opponents when you realize the environment that you have around you and start to really be focused on the battle and how can you block them, trick them and attack them, or wait for the revenge mode and then do your job.

Here's the thing though, If you are in a 3 v 1 then your team should be able to take the other points with virtually no effort. Its a poor team that gangs up this way because they may win the battle, but they will lose the war.

Besides, winning a 3 on 1 (the last one ran away from the point I was holding so I didn't FULLY win i suppose) was the most exciting experience in the alpha for me.

    1 question: Why not?

That's Dominion. in this gamemode it's about objectives, holding/capping points and holding the middle point B.

I don't want to sound snobbish or rude, but if you want "honorable combat", 1v1 or 2v2 might be for you

I myself prefer Dominion, because it has more "meat" around the core of the game, which is the combat-system. But there are many other things to keep in mind like circulating the battlefield, (re-)capping, securing B, looking for friends who are outnumbered, etc. ^ ^

There is a good example of how honor is portrayed in the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WzhdaVj8N4
The end of the video is very interesting and makes me look forward to playing the campaign. (I'm a huge Warden fan, and I'm proud to admin that I suck at the game, which gives me a lot of potential to improve)

Honor is not about asking for mercy, it's about displaying a utopian example of how to do something. It can be rather stupid to do the honorable thing in many cases. But even today most people would prefer to die with dignity.
