    Brawl Mode Feedback

Me and a few buddies played a fair amount of brawl in closed alpha this weekend and I just wanted to drop my feedback here because I love this game, but I think it can have a few positive adjustments.

The name of the mode - Brawl - implies that it will be exactly that, a brawl. This does not actually happen in the game though, or at least it was never really the status quo while I was playing. It seems that there are 2 types of players in brawl. The first are those who seek to make it a succession of duels. They duel their player, then wait for the other 2 to finish and "show honor" and if their teammate dies, they then take the other guy on in a fair fight. Then you have the people who finish their 1v1 and then sprint to the other side of the map to team up on the other guy. In all of the maps, the players tend to start a fair distance away from each other which strongly encourage thes 1v1 - it is very rare for a game to start with one player sprinting to the other side to 2v1 - and even if that does happen, he will then get absolutely crushed from behind by the other guy if he knows what he is doing.

So the mode in its current iteration is not really a brawl at all. Its more like a double duel.

My suggestion here is to keep the current mode because it is great, and re-name it something along the lines of "Double Duel, or Twin Blades" or something catchy like that, and THEN TO ADD ANOTHER MODE CALLED BRAWL.

Now the new Brawl mode, might be 2v2 or 3v3 - 3v3 would probably work better - and it would NOT encourage 1v1s. So the 2 or 3 pairs of players don't start far from each other; instead they start in an area that almost guarantees that they will all be bumping in to each other and in which it is not clear who you are supposed to fight first. This would truly be a brawl.

This would not require new maps for the mode either, it can be done with the maps I saw, just with different spawns. For example, on the River Fort Map, instead of spawning people facing each other on opposite ends of the semi circle, just spawn everyone in a circle on the lower level. If it becomes a 3v3 mode this might have to take place elsewhere with a bit more space.

I think a 3v3 mode of this nature could end up being incredibly deep, possibly even competitive, as players experiment for the best team comps for these situations, and of course how best to take advantage of certain environmental hazards

Those are my thoughts on this mode. Thank you again for the great work you are doing on this game, you guys are on to something insane here and I'm hyped about it. I will be calling out of work for a few days when it comes out - which is on my birthday actually so I'll have a great excuse!

I think this is a good idea, and a further step between what I like to call the "technique modes" (Duel and Brawl) and the main mode (Dominion). The big problem with Brawl has been that some maps really encourage real 2v2 and some are more 1v1, 1v1 where you need to cross a bridge or something to get to your teammate. A proper brawling mode where you have at it in a bigger, open area like where area B (the front) usually are on the maps sounds more like 2v2 (or whatever numbers we'll end up with) to me.
