I think guard breaking is really dumb against the dodging option. Dodging to either side will result in the guard break animation completing at the front (where you were standing before), then they snap to your models current position and you get guard broken. Same thing with dodging backwards, after part of the animation, they are teleported forward, snapping to your character and you are guard broken, even though visual you are completely out of range. It's even weirder because simply walking backward seems to avoid the guard break, even if visual, you are in the range for a guard break. Because i was never able to be guard broken if i was inputting backwards walk, I can only assume this is a bug with hitbox being large, but not targetting in certain circumstances, but i dont know. I just feel that dodging should be a viable option against guard breaking.
Also, the camera issue mentioned is when you lock on, sometimes the camera is zoomed out quite far back, further than when you arent even locked on. I can only assum this is a bug and have no idea what causes this, but I would like to see this fixed.
Combat dashes left or right will avoid guard breaks when timed properly. If you drop lock and try to roll the hitbox for guard break is much more generous, for some characters it's pretty much the only counter to roll spam out of lock.
As for the camera thing the only thing I know is that the camera zooms out when more enemies are attacking you to let you see them all attacking and give you an environmental awareness advantage over them. If it wasn't that then maybe it was just a bug.
Agree you can dodge guard breaks if timed well, and you also got the option of counter GB if you fast on your fingers :P. Also, isnt this a good way too counter dodgerolls? Or repeted side dashes spam?
It may look wierd but it gives a good Rock–paper–scissors gameplay, just my two cent in the matter. I love the art of battle in it current state and very happy how far they come. I still havent figured out how to beat orochi and conqurers playstyle though ^^.
