Map Choices For 1v1 And 2v2

Ok I spent the majority of my time playing in duels or brawls and their were two major flaws. All of the map sections that you played on were either too small or two cluttered which very often resulted in a "who can throw the other person off the stage first" game. The other huge problem is that in all of the 2v2 stage sections they were all split up into two separate fights. Which kinda defeats the point in it being a 2v2. I want to fight side by side with a teammate not across a bridge from them minding my own business. It kinda removes the team aspect of 2v2s.

I agree that the map sections should be weighted with less "falling hazards", however I do find them an interesting part of duels that allow the most hopeless underdog to come out on top with a well timed throw.

I agree... I think throw distance should be lowered slightly. If I'm literally at the edge and you shove me off (or you catch me with the Raider charge), fair play to you.

But the fact that I can be a huge character like the Raider or Conqueror, and you can be a female Orochi and give me a love tap and I go staggering backward 10 feet like I'm a frail 80 year old woman just hit by a wrecking ball is absurd. It is also inherently less skillfull to win by ringout than by measured play and demonstration of character mastery over an entire round. For Dominion, I'm kind of OK with the lunacy of the ringouts since that mode is more chaotic in general. But for duels, the ringouts feel cheesy. I feel cheesy doing them and I feel cheated when they are done to me. Oftentimes it feels like it's the only way some people can beat me. If the skill gap between me and someone else is a mile wide, they shouldn't get to close it by mashing the Square button when I'm near a ledge. Right now they can and it's infuriating. This goes both ways BTW. I have massive respect for someone who cleanly beats me with swordplay, and I don't get to experience that if I'm shoved off the edge. This is one of my biggest gameplay nitpicks (most are technical).

I'm also not too fond of the 1v1 | 1v1 structure they have going. Some maps or sections like that are okay. But I would prefer closer proximity so that if my friend is in trouble I can feasibly try to go bail him out.
