First off, I would like to say that the alpha has been a great experience and I loved learning the combat system. There were plenty of good times to be had. On that note I have a few things to make note of about it.
- The soldier masses felt good but I would like to see them in other parts of the map as well.
- I REALLY want to see a combat dummy somewhere. A way to attack a model that cannot die so you can practice combos. The tutorial videos are a welcome sight but you can only learn so much by seeing; there needs to be a bit of feeling in there.
- The maps were fun and beautiful but felt a tad bit small at times.
- Private games with friends or local coop would be an incredible addition.
- The Orochi could be a especially annoying at times as could the Conquerors. The latter can spam their shield bash to constantly force back an opponent. Maybe add a growing stamina cost for repeated use?
- I would also like to see the emblem editor tweaked. First off, the rectangle at full size does not cover the full length of the shield if you are in the Samurai pantheon. It isn't long enough to reach the bottom. Secondly, a way to modify x:y ratios of each symbol wold add a lot to the system.
- It would be nice to be able to change your pantheon or at least choose what shape your crest (emblem) is.
Nothing else comes to mind at this time, but if I missed anything I'll add an edit to the bottom of this post. Thank you for the wonderful alpha devs. I've had a lot of fun and can't wait to see what changes come out of this.
