I think this is the pattern, but, it happens..

when you are in a group, and the group leader backs out of a game (at the end of it)
it will bring other party members back to the main menu, without the menu (pictured below)

I will add it doesnt "break" anything, the group leader can pick a new map and its good to go...

Happens all the time. The game is too reliant on the party leader and very buggy when leaving games.
