The longer I played the more frustrating it became to use guard break to get things done. Classes like your Orochi and your Warden and your Berserker CONSISTENTLY get guard breaks, while your heavier classes cant seem to get hit box alignment, or something.... its just off. Something in the mechanics of the guard break for your heavy classes is FAR to slow comparatively to the lighter classes, and it makes for literally SEVEN HOURS of games today where we rarely saw anything in other team selections besides Orochi and Wardens... periodically a sprinkle of Conqueror or Berserker would show up.
So you definitely have some sharpening to do.
The tackeling mechanics for the Raider are off. He misses quite a bit, even when he hits the target dead center some times.
The Conqueror gives away his over the head strike WAY WAY TO MUCH. I mean the player might as well send an addressed letter that says, "I am about to strike you over the top!"
You DEFINITELY need to get an mmr system, ELO system, Ranking system.
Get rid of the P2P. Its no good. Hosts in game have a serious advantage when it comes to guard break and combos because of it. This game will require dedicated servers.
When it comes to stances and guard... the animations need to be slowed. I saw Orochi and Wardens combo chaning different positions for strikes with lightning speed, so fast it was hard to decern where they were coming from. It goes without saying that the mechanics for the guard system need to be streamlined a lot so as to make the bennifits for each hero type stand out more. Fights should be encouraged to be one on one, and be personal and engaging... not just clusters of 3 on 1 all game.
Speaking to that point, it may be a good idea to give armor bonuses naturally to heroes as more opponents come within range of them without an ally around. The nature of your games dominon battles, in which the team is forced to defend itself from death always ends in 2 and 4 on 1.
Also, the team which is forced to defend first, should be given a defense boost or HP boost to help stage a comeback.
But those are subjective ideas.
Good Alpha. Looking forward to the next one, but you have A LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG way to go before this game is balanced enough to be considered for release. And 99 percent of those balances are animation and timing related.
