Greetings! The For Honor forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

To build on my last post, use your characters skill to be the agressor as well.

Warden has shoulder charge, raider has unblockable attacks and the pick up, the conqueror has shield bash, etc etc.

The Orochi can only counter regular. Attacks.

People cry because they can't adapt to a new persons fight style is just like every other fighting game. Shut up and pay attention and counter.. ffs. No character has GAve me a harder time then any other. If your good.. your good.. if you suck. Then go back to 1v1 AI duels until you can get better.

    Babies.
Look at how mature Mr. Git Gud is overhere, callin' everyone babies.

Anyway. @ThatSneakyRusky, that's good news, to be honest, I hope they don't nerf it into the ground, but it does need a small one.

Orochi is supposed to be a so-called counter attacker!! not a attacker, counter attacker, high damage character there is obvious issues and a low skill high reward issue as well being described as hard to use/learn/master read dev commentary and you will realize there is a problem not a huge problem but tweaks are needed....

    lol my thoughts exactly sir!!!

While I do not believe that Orochi needs to be nerfed to the ground, I think it does need some nerfs though. My biggest irritation would be probably this combo.

Rush attack-> Guard break -> Up Strong -> guard break -> Up strong. lol good bye 90% of my heath. I tried dodging, but it seems like the guard break is a tad bit long so it was kinda hard to dodge out of the way. I think the other thing is probably the free counter attack. It's a low risk/high reward method and it just got so irritating.

Fair enough. Tweeks are needed. The Orochi is defenitly a strong character atm.
But it's not as broken as people make it out to be.

Yes the attack strength could be tuned down a tad.

    Agreement with Original Post

Just wanted to add to the pool of people saying that I agree with the thread poster.

Unlike most of the people complaining about the OP characters, I actually spent enough time on every character to get pretty decent as them. I found it no easier to win a match as Orochi than I did as Warden, Kensei, Conqueror, Berserker, or Raider. What you all may want to try is playing as characters that you find overpowered, as understanding their moveset often allows you to more effectively predict what they will do in a certain situation.

Get better, don't heavily nerf Orochi. Or any of the heroes. They're all pretty well balanced. Good Job Ubisoft. Aye.

    Agree slightly

The light attacks portion of this is the only thing I don't agree with. My warden is rep1 lvl 1 now that's it's over but I over use light attacks on orochi. From the top first and stay to the top and never stop hitting you'll parry everytime; just make sure if they parry you; be ready to regain your stance. If they are a skilled defensive player different angles is your weapon, they are fast but they can't take as much of a beating.
I start by letting them attack first since counter attacking is their game. Parry them then don't stop swinging from the top
If they block or parry, step back and start over or use different angle and learn your moveset.
Every hero has a fighting style. This is a Mona but it's very realistic I've never seen any game like this before. But I agree overall
    ...orochi is not op

I agree with muppetlord, I don't think the orochi needs a big nerf the different ways you need to fight each character make it interesting!

This is quite hilarious... Orochi is not imba? Not OP? Not too Beefy you say?

You guys obviously never faced the good players. Sorry that is as gently as I can possibly put it.. You are quite inexperienced players and that much is blatantly true. Otherwise you would know for a fact the Orochi is WAY too strong rite now. Warden's Moveset is seriously lacking. "Also has no gap closer" Beserker Although not as commonly used as Orochi this class is just as OP.

As far as balance goes, I'd say For Honor has ALLOT of work ahead of them, also you noobs are forgetting that there are 8 OTHER CLASSES. Stop thinking like a bunch of simple minded kids, take a step back, and look at the bigger picture... Orochi will dominate ALL other classes, Beserker will dominate ALL other classes including Orochi. Im not going to bother educating you all on every little thing we've learned. But you should be open minded enough to realize that if 2 players of equal skill face off, it wont be a roll of the dice, it will be a battle of different classes, and if 1 is beserker or orochi and the other is ANY other class, they will surely lose and will lose quite quickly.

Orochi can parry/block --->> in to a Quick overhead Heavy, Also has 2 unavoidable attacks 1 of them being an instant counter that does insane amounts of damage once they have a maxed atk dmg blade.

Beserker Can insta guard break off of ANY and EVERY single blocked attack or parry. For anyone that knows how this games mechanics work this alone makes Beserker the most powerful class in the game including the classes we havent even tried or seen yet assuming they cannot do this exact same thing.

Orochi is a piece of sht and so is Beserker - both are str8 cheeze and any of you who used these classes and thought you were good, make me laugh.
