    Ganking Solutions

Alright, so I've been having lots of fun with the game so far. I've read a lot of posts about the orochi, map size, and HUD stuff, but I haven't really seen anyone talking about my biggest issue with the game right now, Ganking.
I get it, it's easy and sure, there are some elements that are supposed to make 1v2 fights viable, but honestly, it's not enough.

It feels cheap, TOO overwhelming, lacks skill, and happens too often. Currently revenge mode doesn't deter enough players from ganging up, and it's near impossible to fight off 2 or more full health oppenents, so it leads to players running away from multiple attackers.
Solution? Make it so that in 1v2,3, or 4 fights, the defender only needs block in an enemy's direction to guard them. Up for your lock on target, and left or right for the sides. your back is still exposed though.
It's hectic enough guarding one person, but keeping an eye on a second is just too much. This could encourage players to let their teammates continue their 1v1 matches, since a second player would make guarding much easier for the defender, leading to revenge mode quicker.
Of course, This would only activate when there's a solo defender though. In 2v2s or more, the blocking system would work as it does now, since it encourages focusing on your own target.
Also in 1v2s, only your main target should be able to guard break you, unlocked attackers guard break would cancel like it does when a player is in revenge mode. Too often, other players come in and spam guard break to open you up for the main target.
Attacking from the back, and unlockables like the raiders charge would still work the same.
Friendly "fire" needs increasing too, at least during 2v1 fights. Too often, all tact is thrown out for swinging wildly, hitting teammates for a fraction of the damage.
And it'd be nice to see some assist credit for getting an opponent down to low health, only for a teammate to run in and finish them with one blow.
overall, I think this system would eliminate Ganking, encourage more skillful play, and make fighting off multiple attackers fun and possible, rather than a frustrating stunlock fest.
