Custom Color Selection & Overall Account Progrssion VS Individual Character Progress.

As the title states, overall I think that the progression system and the available color schemes are nice, but I do believe they could be improved upon.

First off, I understand that you need Attacker and Defender colors in order for people to be able easily identify Allies and Enemies, however though I think it would be a really cool feature if you were able to make your own color scheme, like you are able to do on your profile shield. I believe that the symbol of the Castle (Defenders) and Swords (Attackers) next to the players name is more than enough of an identifier for players, so allow us to customize the color of are armor and highlights. If the symbols aren't enough then I would suggest that players are required to have a certain spectrum of colors for Attackers (Red-Orange) and Defenders (Blue-Purple) to identify allies from enemies, but allow players to pick the other two colors for their armor.

As for the progression system. I think overall it is good, however I think that your actual account should be the thing that levels up not the individual characters. I understand they want us to play all the characters, but this really forces you to pick one class, and level it until you max it out and then switch if you want to get good with one. Where as if you level the account it gives the player more freedom to pick and choose who they want to play. Especially if this game becomes competitive. Players will want to swap in and out between characters and if the PVP balancing goes off of the individual toons level then if someone wants to player a lower toon but they are a good player they could be matched with beginners because the players toons are lower levels. So i think the best thing to do would be to level the profile over the toons.

    Just some food for thought.

    I agree with this!
Rocket League does a great job of letting you pick your colors, but at the same time be team specific.

i second this although i think making your own color scheme should be a higher level thing. id like to keep your character rank just as a number so everybody can see how much you play them

I disagree that the icon is enough. The Raider for example, has very little colour on them and the piece of cloth that hangs from their waist is always blue no matter which side they're on, in the heat of things it can get a bit confusing, but maybe that's just poor clolour design for this specific class. It's the only one I have trouble identifying during chaotic battles.
I agree about custom palette in the same way rocket league lets you chose while still being a shade of blue/purple and red/yellow
For 1v1 you should be able to have any colour you want
If there are ever clans and clan battles, custom palette for clans. Attackers and Defenders would take the colour of their clan ( with variations so that you don't confuse them, like sports jerseys maybe ), so you could have Purple attackers against Green defenders.
