First thing first, I've never participated in a closed alpha before, and I have been hyped for this game since the Day-One announce, so to get the chance to play was flooring and my feedback is extremely biased because of how excited I was to play this. That being said, I'll leave the technical / important feedback, such as the complaints with P2P, bug reports, and all that jazz to more experienced testers and people with more playtime and who know what to look for.
Leveling and Progress
In my Saturday long binge of For Honor, I played Warden almost exclusively. She was the character that got me excited initially and the play style was fitting to what I was looking for. I did play Raider and Kensei for the "AI Dominion Order", but I only raised them both to Level 8, while my Warden got to Renown 1, Level 5, though I don't know exactly how long that took. Overall, when it comes to the difficulty of grinding up it can be rewarding, if a little Daunting when you realize you have to repeat the process 12 times... I kind of wish there were more Steel Rewarded with a level, but I'm sure there'll be a Microtransaction available in the release...
Combat and Balancing
It's been said a thousand times, Orochi is a bit strong, but I feel the claims are highly exaggerated. I loved the fear and challenge that came from watching 2 Orochi run toward me. There was a glimmer of hope that I could knock one off a cliff, block the other, recover, fight back, maybe, just maybe I could win! It was exhilarating. The Berserker was also a bit a nuisance, but if you change up your tactics and adapt you can overcome. Overall, minor tweaks to damage dealt or defense would be nice. Primarily, increase the effectiveness and practicality of the Roll away!
Minor Things
I saw a thread on Kill steals, since I'm putting all my cents into this post, I'll say I have no problem with kill Steals or Assists in Dominion, and I never seen or partook in a kill steal or double team in Brawl.
My only actual complaint, I think, is please reduce the Fall damage. Getting knocked off a ledge should be a kill, but if I want to jump off a ledge like a maniac and look like a hero, I should at least survive the effort lol.
The maps, characters, customization and gametypes aren't worth analyzing, as it's an alpha and I'm sure there's going to be more variety when the game is released, but for the most part, everything about the Alpha was nothing short of enjoyable aside from the occasional server reconnect and odd "Missed Break".
