My Top Attack as Warden isn't countering my enemies' top attacks? Not sure if this is a bug or I have to use it like a parry?

My Top Attack as Warden isn't countering my enemies' top attacks? Not sure if this is a bug or I have to use it like a parry?

It has to be used as a parry. A normal parry just knocks the opponent off balance allowing you to follow up how you wish. But if you're the Warden, it turns the top parry into a top counter attack. Which I like to follow up with her shoulder charger, though a good player will dash away from you after taking a top counter, so just dash forward and then do the shoulder charger, followed by a left/right double AA and maybe heavy if you think you can get it.
