I really like the idea of having multiple option in customisation, I love the option to choose between male and female and the skin color. It gives a sense of character creation. But when we arrive a the armor, there some point I dislike and they are purly visual. Because I like the Idea that each piece of armor have there own stat and appearences.
If I understood correctly, the palette top left section is the color of the symbol we place on the armor, when we have a symbol black, grey or light blue its really hard to see it even up close in customisation mode (looking at the Orochi by the way).
The material does appear much when I switch amoung them I hardly see there difference, I guess its realistic wise the difference is not much but the difference between dark brown and red is so-so on Orochi.
The Engraving is simply a gray area (almost looks like mud) on the armor piece, we hardly see what it is most of the time unless we have a big armor piece like on Kensei.
edit: It would be great for the progression to have a indication saying at which level we unlock each character feats and have more possible execution for the characters (Orochi only have 2 while Kensei have 4).
Lastly I think it would be really great to have belt/skirt/legs customisation as one additionnal piece of gear. The ability to change the skirt, pants and boost of the character with an additionnal gear bonus.
Thank You for reading and thank you for this awesome game, nothing to say about the other section, game mode, combat, I love it
