A huge battle mode: That is missing!!

First of all: I really love this game. I am a huge medieval fan so for me it is clear that I am gonna buy this game. I like all the modes, especially "Dominion" but it feels like something is missing. For me a key-element of a medieval game must be like a huge, huge battle-mode with like 8vs8 Players. Each of them could have a Special ability like giving commands to the minion troops. Throughout the math it should be poosible to push the front line forth. For example by contesting current Points. Maybe something like "Rush" from battlefield. That would be pretty awsome.
    So yeah. That's it.

I'm sorry for the bad gramma (Germany writing here) but I hope you understand what I mean.

PS: Playing the Alpha was a bit annoying because of this NAT-error on PS4. Sadly your Troubleshooting-Suggestion did not worked out.

I Agree. Actually I just made another thread about this after reading your post because you are on to something here. Here is what I was thinking:

This game mode would be a Push style game mode. It would be either 8-vs-8, 16-vs-16, or 24-vs-24 player game mode. I'm thinking one of the larger player game modes personally, if possible, but would be ok with at least 8-vs-8. You could have an enemy base on each side of the map opposite of each other. Then you would have flags between each base. The object of the game would be to capture all the flags and push the other team all the way back to their base. This is sort of similar to the rush game mode on battlefield, but rather than have one team attacking, and one defending, both teams would be trying to advance to the others base, and take it over. I was thinking of something with a map design that makes it difficult to just sneak past the opposing teams, and capture flags past the point of the current flag that is being disputed. Not impossible, but difficult. Similar to Operation Metro for anyone that has played battlefield. This would help keep the battle concentrated in the current area that is being fought for. I'm sure some other people got some other ideas to make it even better. These are just some initial thoughts, but I think this could be a fun game mode if done correctly.

I wouldn't go too too many Human characters, but I totally agree. I would do the following:

ADD: A mode that is kinda like how it is in the game Dynasty Warriors, move up and down the battlefield with 3 different routes.Only 4 heroes per Team.
ADD: sub-classes or "squires" that have, for example half the life of a hero.(like 12 sub classes with warhammers and other unique weapons like that). 8 squires per team.
ADD: minions(or whatever those guys you kill with one hit) make shield walls when there's a bunch clustered together.
BONUS: have mounts in this mode.

It's probably impossible to implement this now, but they're bound to make an expansion or sequel.

I like the idea of having 2 or 3 different routes. Maybe a main path with a couple of side pathways or whatever along the way. Wouldn't have to be a huge amount of people, but I would like to see at least 8 vs 8.

The sub classes thing is interesting. It would have to be computer controlled classes because nobody is going to want to play as a squire when they can be a hero. Not sure how this would work out though.

Not a big fan of the minions personally. They don't really do much of anything at the moment except get in the way, and make it difficult to see.

Not sure how mounts would work out with this game. I love the idea of mounts in these type of games. Just don't see how that would work with this particular game. I think the game would have to have huge game modes with huge maps for mounts to work. Don't see it working out well with the size of the maps, and amount of players in the game so far. If they added some huge maps with 24 vs 24 players I could see mounts being added. That would be cool. If they did, they would need to make it so you could slash the horses legs, and take em down.

For right now, I would just like to see a push style game mode where you have to push the other team all the way back to their base. I just want it to feel like a real war. Dominion is lacking for me because it doesn't feel like a war. Just feels like you are running from point a to point b constantly. That's why I am thinking a push game mode so that we have to actually battle the opposing force, and push their army back & eventually take over their base.

For Honor like Halo is great but benefits greatly from the big team battle option.

While i see the need for more complex game modes I don't think just making a bigger more chaotic dominion mode is very viable. for one thing a game mode like that would take way to long to balance and if they tried to do it for the release it would have a good chance of being broken in many ways.I also think a big all out brawl in for honor would be a mad house i mean the 4V4 on the smaller maps is already chaotic enough. but hey that's just my two cents.
