well the thing why I initiall started this is to just point my finger at possible problems.

For international people I get for the most of you its not a big deal, since one symbol is as good or as bad as any other maybe.

But well, I am generally very sensible to racism also about trolling for it. I cant laugh.

In america its common dark humor to do funstuff with nazi. And I get that everyone with that viewpoint, thinks I overreact.

As a born german, who does not feel so much at home here, having very international relationships, contacts, frinds and well even relatives and roots...

...i just despise it. Maybe I am overreacting, maybe I am to old fashioned. But I think also in general tearms, you dont want a toxic community, and this could be one piece of a huge puzzle thats leaning more towards toxic behaviour.

I also dont wana see shields with "aids" written across them, or "cancer"... good thing those things have no eyecatcher symbol, but maybe you get my point.

Simplest thing to do would be to just not allow custom symbols. The harder way would be to do what Everquest did and make each submission go through a strict approval system where each and every submission is checked and either approved or rejected. Frankly though, I'd rather just have no custom symbols and just have the devs do frequent updates to the number available. It will avoid pink unicorns and Trump heads appearing all over the game (see Company of Heroes 2).

Maybe not a permanent ban the first time, but 7 days might do the trick for the first time offense. But it would have to be a triple ban: username, email, and IP. Would reduce the chance of them being able to just make a second account. So many companies now just ban the username.
