    No love for the Berserker

Lets face it, this class is equivelant to starting a deprived class in dark souls. And I mean by that is they are really hard to use, if you run into someone who makes them look good, odds are they are just got good at the game and are now using the berserker for fun. They have stupid short range (shortest in the game) and weak damage, sure you can get a good combo going but they are easily interupted or dodged. Their lunge attacks are good (but seen from a mile away).... But that that stupid back step slash is garbage, totally worthless. His Samurai counterpart the orochi outclasses him in every way (orochi is borderline op... -_- seriously). Feels like the developers kinda just whipped this one up just so they can say the vikings technically have an assassin class.

Of course I can only speak from my experience, but I'll have to disagree that this class is too weak. I started the game with him and it's the class i play with the most. You said it yourself, he is just really hard to use in the way that he plays very differently than any other. He is a mix between the conqueror and the Orochi in the way that he also relies on counterattacking. The R2 hits really hard and is very fast. Though i would say that his R1 is completely useless, however it is not meant to be a damage dealer but as the description says a "harassing" attack. The Berserker class is just fundamentally different imho. I find myself struggling with classes like the Vanguard although he is supposed to be easy just because I started out with the Berserker.

I would also say the Orochi is slightly to powerful, although since everyone is playing with him I started learning to play him and I wouldn't technically call him op.

BTW here's my regular Berserker Chain: SprintR2 without locking on, locking on R2,R2,R2, wait for counteropening, break guard and R2 =execution

I've played berseker to prestige level 1 and I think he is definitely under powered.

Totally agreed, the Japanese counterpart It is much stronger.
The berserker has a very short attack range and also the counter is not as strong as that dell'orochi; after the counter breakguard rarely affects the attack, most of the time is parry; and the heavy attack from above puts us a lifetime to strike.
I saw that you happen to experts ... how does the attack axes rotates horizontally in front of you?

Well Ratash you make a valid point, but as i said before you are probably just a good player, youd be just as good with any other class, but no denying that horrible range, low damage and that almost worthless back spin attack (rarely useful). And I do hesitate to say orochi is op but they are borderline, and I cant help but feel the berserker is underpowered.

I'm going to have to play devil's advocate here. I love the berserker, and whether I'm playing Dominion or duels, I don't feel like I'm underpowered until I'm outnumbered. Even then, it's a simple matter of running away from the fight and finding an ally to assist. They are amazing for harrassing, and even better for taking out an unaware enemy. Getting a guard break when you parry is very helpful to break up a combo and give you a chance to deal a nice hit. Aside from the Conquerers, it's a simple combo or two to dispatch most enemies, and if you get the first hit on them, it's nearly game over for them every time. Their ability to dodge left or right while starting a combo with a heavy attack is amazingly helpful against top attacks. My only real issue with them is that their guard break is super close range, but it's often not difficult to wait until they close the gap or deflect their own guard break and move in for the kill.

@madkowtow Thanks man really appreciating your reply but tbh I really find myself struggling with other classes, after getting into the game some more I would agree that site his range is so low he should get a damage buff or atlas a health buff since the orochi is definitely waaaaaaaaay more powerful and I think he should be fixed as well. I guess the Spin Cjop thingy is just for slaughtering minions since I wasn't able to reliably connect with it against the players...

All I'd need out of him is increasing his attack speed ever so briefly when he guard breaks as to successfully land heavy attacks SOMEHOW, and we're golden.

I mained Beserker and find him the most fun to play. I would not call him underpowered at all. Though he is worse in every way compared to Orochi in itself he is fine.

Just forget what you learn from other classes. His deflects are not to get free instant hits. But rather open up for a throw or push to stun or knockback which can work into chain or heavy or environmental kill.

His short range is no problem he is an in your face type of character. All he needs is a better lunge attack to get there. His current is so obvious and slow it gets blocked 100%

I find Berserker is stronger in 1v1 at higher skill level than Orochi. A guardbreak is better than a low dmg autohit. And if you can throw your oppent at a wall you get a free heavy top attack.
Orochi isn't op at all. He is only really easy to play and hard to play against for beginner. His biggest advantage is that he is good at running and dodging away. If you like that kind of gameplay stick to Orochi. A Beserker want to stay close to his target all the time and played aggresive with a never ending storm of attacks. And if you see your oppent will block your next attack you should interrupt your attack by a dodge or faint and start a new chain from a diffrent direction.
A good Berserker is the scariest opponent.
