Blasphemy. None of the classes is op nor underpowered. Conq is like guard tank, i can't even understand how one conq can defend against 3 people while slowly chipping away their health. I disagree about Orochii being op. They are as easily counterable as any other class. Played all classes (i admit that mostly orochi) but neither of them i'v found op, just players skilled to the point that it's amazing.
What got me interested in For Honor is the fact that the game ha a high skill ceiling, which most games this day in age. And once i looked at the Class they ranged from Easy to Hard, and since i like to challenge myself i pick one of the Hard classes to start with and that was the Orochi. Ofcourse i was using the Parry to escape death but i felt like i was relying too much on the opponent to make a move instead of myself and what i quickly started to learn in this game is that you do not want to be on the defense. And i didnt change my tactic until i was up against another Orochi, and it was just a Parry-fest and it lefted a sour taste in my mouth because that what other players who arent playing orochi is having to deal with. But i also realized that i dont have to rely on my parry hell i dont even have to use it because if im on the offensive and dodge hits instead of parrying them my opponent wont be able to get alot of hits on me. So i made up a combo string in which i Back dash lunge, and if it lands follow up with two overhead light attack, ending with a guardbreak heavy slash. And depending on their health bars this combo strong led to a kill or close to one leaving the opponent on their guard scared to attack. I'm not sure if anyone has done this yet but its really effective. I havent found anymore combo strings but that one is very effective in killing your opponent fast, because what i noticed in Dominion is that if you dont kill your opponent quick his teammates will try to bail him out.
I thought his attacks were very weak which is weird because it says that he is a heavy hitter. I do think he does less than spectacular damage but then I started thinking of him as more defensive character. It always seemed like he could block better than most and gave slightly better openings to punish. Once I started thinking in these terms I found that I did much better with him. He is my favorite from the beginning, not many games use flails so I was all about it.
The lack of damage which (when slamming the keyboard against the wall instead of using combos) doesn't mean that he is to weak. So far he is the best hero you can possibly choose when dealing with 1vs2 and more. His shield grants insane protection and endless possibilities to attack. You can chain his attack forever when doing it right and also you can shield slam when opponent tries his best defending too. There is no hero seriously considered too weak or op yet as closed alfa was launched for 3 days. After you learn how to play an hero correctly and remember his advantages and his weakness then please argue.
His damage is tiny and it makes no sense. The character description is even listed as 'heavy hitter'. Apparently a 'heavy hitter' does less damage than an Orochi. :POriginally Posted by AzazelsSoul Go to original post
Nah, his heavy attacks probably at the higher end of damage. 4 hitts from its heavy and a Orichi goes down.Originally Posted by AliceTheSilent Go to original post
