I play primarily the Knight classes and although I didn't have a lot of experience fighting other players, as I played mostly against AI, I did play quite a few games against other players and I never felt them to be too weak. I felt them to be pretty strong and I didn't even completely learn all of their moves, which if I did I'm sure I would have done even better. Personally I think they are great, and as a Conqueror I most enjoyed holding and taking the objectives. That seemed like the natural role for that class because of the strong defensive capabilities. Also blocking attacks was very responsive and I'm not sure why others were having issues with being able to block attacks.

I played conqueror for most of my time this alpha and very rarely had issues with anyone. After taking some advice from PackyKnight and finding my own groove, I fell in love with the class. The amount of control you have over combat pacing with conqueror is fantastic. I did run into a kensei that gave me a run for my money with his unblockable attack feints, but I adapted and won out. The other person to actually take rounds off of me was a berserker.

Shout out to both of them for the good fights.

    How did the berserker ?
I find myself having very hard time as berserker against conqueror since I'm all about chaining..!

I'm not super familiar with berserker's moveset, but he was pretty good at deflecting and guard breaking at the right time. The most damage done to me was when he had me backed into a small space where I couldn't escape or block his quick, uninterruptible attacks in time.

It could have been my lack of familiarity with the class that cost me round wins at first. He asked me how to avoid shield bash (after heavy attack) and I told him strafing and being proactive about guard breaking really throws me off as a conqueror. Just harass conqueror and bait out a light or heavy attack to deflect, then do damage. Don't get too greedy and always watch out for shield bash. That's about the best advice I can give and it's all based on your situation.

the Conqueror is definitely not weak, not matter what class i was going against i always felt like was on equal footing with them, the only one that was a bit of an issue was the orochi because of the constant dashing in and out. but still quite beatable, i even regularly won 2v1 and sometimes 3v1, as the conquerors defences lets you hang in there, and with revenge on you can start taking people out quite easily as people tend to forget about their own defence and start swinging when they have the numbers advantage.

I think Conq might be up there with the best of them. No chains possible on him, a pretty fast shield charge (in guard mode) that can be cancelled, nice chains, health, can block all directions which is good for example if stunned. Not over powered but definitely has a lot of tools.

    conqueror and weak?

A decent conq can hold its own against 2-4 enemies while reading the newspapers and making himself some coffe, man xD

yeah well, pretty much summs it up.

man i saw conquerors, they were not like walls... more like castles. So funny if you see one of those "im am op u nub" selfproclaimed skilled orochis (dont get triggered, ofc there are good ones) do all their enaky stuff, be flashy and swift like the wind, just to not break the conquerors deff and get "wrecking balled"
