I'll admit, I was an Orochi hater for a good bit when I started out playing the Alpha. As a support player in dominion and a heavy character as The Conqueror (Which is WAY underrated by the way, awesome class) the Orochi started off as the bane of my existence. Way too fast, could counter everything I threw at it, I felt I had no way of beating it in either Dominion or Duels. This all changed the more I played. The game truly has an outstanding balance as it currently stands but the thing is, the Alpha was short, we didn't learn every nook and cranny or how to use each class perfectly in such a short amount of time. When it comes to tools, the Orochi has a lot of strong ones however they still have distinct limitations. By the end of the Alpha I could duel most any Orochi player effectively with the slow, lumbering, defense-heavy Conqueror. Why? Because I memorized the moveset and tools that Orochi was going to play against me. I kept distance, keeping my guard to my sides where they were likely to dash attack to close distance, if they tried it he's getting parried and a flail to the face, which their delicate constitution cannot afford more than about three times from a Conqueror heavy strike.
I hope they do not make any drastic decisions based on the Orochi feedback. Even though it seemed heavily lopsided early on I adapted more than adequately as the Alpha went on and I learned to use my own classes traits effectively and not being afraid to seize initiative against an Orochi player by using shield charges, charged heavy attacks and varied chain attacks that were hard for them to parry.
I hope to have a highlight clip on YouTube soonish that could display some of these tactics but despite my initial concerns I truly do not think the Orochi is overpowered.
