I would often try to block enemy attacks from as many players as ****ING FOUR, and prove to the game I was skilled enough to kill any of them 1v1, and activate Revenge as to go on the offensive. And then get ganked real ****ing hard. Inversely, I can often drop a player in Revenge with minimal extra difficulty. Conclusion? For what it should be, it's serious weak sauce. It should make you immune to guard breaks, or give you a full health bar to play with in the limited time you have it instead of a half bar, or make your attacks unblockable. Any combination of those would help. Getting outnumbered is a RAMPANT epidemic in For Honor, so knowing that patience, skill, and a stroke of the triangle button nets me the strength of four players for a quick burst would be mighty comforting.
Revenge is useless when i activate it. Instantly get stun locked by the 2 or more players spam attacking you while your revenge meter plummets. At the moment the only thing revenge seems to be good for is to run away from the mob chasing you while you know you're going to die after your revenge runs out...

Completely agree, it's sad seeing one player hold off 3 players and knowing he is doing this because he has more skill with that character only to loose by gank sqaud and honestly I'm saying this from the gank sqaud side there just needs to be an aggressive change to make gank sqauds the way to loose a match.. or the more opponents your facING increase the power of revenge so that poor basted that could take on everybody and win if not being spammed has a chance to come out on top
hell yeah! totally agree with y'all. i believe the aoe effect of the push-back from Revenge Mode should be bigger enough for us to determine a decision (fight or run) as well. I only end up pushing one person down and the other two sandwiching me in the corner still lolOriginally Posted by bipolerzombie Go to original post
You can't be staggered by attacks while in revenge mode your attacks gain dauntless so they should carry through. This means that they can't stop your attack by hitting you and if you are attacking you can't be grabbed, so make your attacks and don't let up. Also time your revenge mode when they attack so they get knocked down. Finally the damage you do, duration of, and bonus defense of revenge mode are all modified by gear stats. If you want more time in revenge mode you can spec yourself for that.Originally Posted by Bluenessless Go to original post
Winning in those situations is rare, but that's why it's so much fun. Revenge mode is a tool to give you an edge, it's not a free win, but it is dangerous if used properly.
I have a lot of trouble with kill thirsty pub allies jumping into a 1v1 I had handled only to feed their revenge meter and get one or both of us killed.
Yeah, but the thing is that time within it is irrelevant, when they attack you as you enter the animation, lose the whole additional health bar you earned, and get guard broken before you can return to the defensive. I'm not asking for instant win. I'm asking for instantly cutting just one of their lifebars in half if they don't dodge. Because getting blocked in revenge hurts my soul, fam.Originally Posted by AvarusTyrannus Go to original post
If they attack you as you enter the animation they will get knocked down, unless it's a conq shield bash or something weird like that. You are either getting killed before you start it or after you trigger you are soaking up blows. In the future try to time it for the knockdown and then start punishing. If you are near spikes or a ledge you can also grab people even if they are attacking and their buddies are hitting you.Originally Posted by SecondDeath777 Go to original post
I think revenge is fine as is. A large majority of the time when I activated it, I was being double teamed, but managed to come out on top half the time. Hell, I had 3 people fighting me at once one time and manage to win by going into revenge twice. It's meant to help you out. Not an instant "I win" button. Plus, depending on how you stat your character, you can be even stronger in revenge.
