First I'd like to start out by saying i enjoy the game very much but (and I realize it's the Alpha which is exactly why I'm saying this) it seems like it's missing a lot. Not in the sense of that it only includes multiplayer but the biggest and most engaging mode, dominion, seems very shallow. The maps themselves don't really feel like I'm attacking or defending but rather just that I'm moving between different objectives so it doesn't ever really matter which side I am on. I feel like Dominion has a lot of potential of being a really fun and unique game-type different from the cliche domination style. Right now it just feels like a shallow objective game-type when i expected something similar to Rush from the battlefield games except with a lot of moving parts and inside of a swordplay style game. With bigger maps and a variation on attacking and defending I would enjoy Dominion a lot more.

The game-type I've been enjoying a lot is brawl and duel and this is where For Honor really shines. For honor has built an amazing, challenging combat system that is very unique. The problem is is that it takes a long time to really even start to figure it out. There is a tutorial when you start the game but it really only goes over how to play Dominion and a basis of controls that can be applied to every character. To learn more you have to dig through the menu until you find the videos on how to play. (Another problem of mine is how the menus right now are confusing to find everything) The problem with these videos is that they are not engaging at all and are sometimes very complicated when you start to get into the harder heroes. You also can pause the video, fast forward or rewind. At one point I had come to a point in the video where I wanted to pause but ended up exiting the video and having to re watch the whole thing again. I would love to have an in Depth tutorial with each one of the heroes at the start of the game or at least some kind of training arena where you can maybe talk to different "masters" and learn new techniques that the game has because honestly after watching some of the how to play videos you realize just how in-depth this game is so it'd be nice to have some kind of training arena to learn things and also be able to come back to it easily instead of having to re watch the whole video again just to pick up one thing that I forgot how to do.

I only have one problem with the combat that I ran into. When and enemy is doing a heavy attack I had tried to bash him and break his guard because I knew that was a quicker and better alternative then dodging or blocking. Sadly the game would not let me do that. Maybe I did't do it right and that works but I'd also like for that to be in the game.

Overall I really enjoy For Honor and am looking forward to play the whole game. Right now I understand it is far from the finished version but I'd love to see anything I've said in the full game. (but most especially the training arena to practice the technical things in the game to get better.)

~Thanks!
