On controller, you press the Y button to activate emote 1 and hold it for emote 2.

On PC, emote 1 is activated on F and the second on G. But the hold seems to have carried over from console controls, because you have to HOLD G to activate emote 2 instead of pressing it. So I didn't realize the second emote actually works, until now.
