    Are unblockable attacks blockable?

More often than once I find a Raider or Kensei spamming the heavy unblockable attack and I keep dying a ****ty death because I didnt dodge in time.

If you can get a quick attack in there, it stops it. I get stomped with my kensei when somebody knows how to do that. Or dodge and they get an almost guaranteed hit on me. The fast viking guy, can't remember what he's called, can somehow guardbreak through it, too.

You can also parry them using a heavy attack matching its stance right as it is about to hit you. And the orochi/berserker both a have the ability to do a special counter if they guard right before the attack hits them. As for the unblockable you can actually cancel them into a different move from a different angle with B.

Maybe I'm just tired or didn't read correctly lol. For the raider's unblockable sweep attack, are people saying you can heavy attack in its direction to parry it or dodge roll into it? That's really the only thing I struggled with in the game; otherwise I was able to combat the other classes very well.

They're not blockable but they are parry-able if you match their stance and hit heavy attack just as the opponent's attack lands on you. Every character is able to initiate a parry.

The unblockables are inconsistent when they are used against me. Only about half the time my dodge actually dodges em despite timing it correctly. I also have tried using wardens top unblockable counter against a top unblockable attack with no success.

    You can parry them.

The heavy attacks are parryable? I did not know this. Thanks for the tip!

Yes indeed. Timing's a little tricky because the wind-up is so slow, but the sweep itself is so fast that you'll miss it if you blink.

You can also parry the Kensei's overhead unblockable. That one's much easier to predict for the timing. The only time I get hit by those anymore is if I'm surrounded.

I don't think that's possible. I believe the Warden's counter registers as an attack, not an actual parry.

Don't quote me on that, though.

Kensei is the slowest character in the game. Even his first 2 heavies hit you, you can EASILY counter the third with a backstep. You can even hit him after that, since recovery from his attack takes about 3 years.
