It'd be optional. Why jump down the guy's throat for asking for a toggle to disable blood on his client. If you're in PvP with him it wouldn't affect you at all.

This is what I was gonna say, people seem to think this would spread to them somehow. No one complained about it if people disable gore in Gears of War where gore is a mainstay and focus of the series, but apparently its blasphemy for someone to ask for it here.

I am glad to see there are still intelligent people within the community.
Why are people so upset with something that is only going to affect anyone that "opts-in" to something that is purely visual ?

I agree. I'd personally leave the gore on myself, but if it's something that makes more people want to play it, then it's certainly worth considering.

^ this. I love the gore myself but if there is a toggle for it Im fine. Why would i be against it if it doesnt affect my game

This also means its easier to play during the day when the kids are up. They can handle some violence but beheadings etc is another thing.

Option would be cool but the Raider is still is too violent on females

Hi, If it's a optional setting, then of course it would be nice to have. That being said, I think beheading was very common for both males and females throughout history (or at least from what history class teaches us) so I doesn't really bother me but, I for one, can't wrap my head around the Raider's execution where he smacks his axe and splits the opponent's groin as she has her legs trembling in pain. For me, it really feels like I had sexually assaulted a women, of course, this can also be performed on male but unfortunately, our society has turned all forms of sexual violence on males as comedic and as been shown on all mainstream media for decades and regrettably even I have been conditioned to think it's alright. On the other hand, sexual violence on female is just cringing and we have always been taught how immoral it is as such, I just switched back to my real gentleman Kensei (who is anyways my favorite) and never played the Raider again as he just makes me feel bad. Anyhow, I think the idea is that people will eventually get used to this (and all other violence) on females just like we are for the males. This is probably why they made the female character extremely male looking (I didn't even realize there was females until much later when I went to customize and found out the option) but I my opinion, it is only adding fuel on the fire, as it makes it also sexist as if violence and sexual assault is not wrong if the women is male-like looking. Anyhow, I will just refrain from playing the Raider or female character so as to avoid this horrible scene and just stick with me awesome Kensei!

    Simple fix

    1. don't pick female characters
    2. Dev to create a non dismemberment for each character.

Wow, that social justice warrior crap is really spreading in the states...I for one dont have a problem with imaginary computer characters being killed. Even if it is a female character (who lo' and behold just tried to kill my character in a similar fashion).

WOW amazing. TRULY amazing. The game is rated M, please don't ask ubisoft to waste time making a no gore option. They should spend their time with better things like more game modes. And your a sexist. And if anything there should be more gore. Imagine how cool it would be if say when the warden does the cut upwards and beheading execution, that you can see the body split before he/she beheads the opponent. Or what if for the kensei's gut slashing execution you can actually see the opponent holding his own guts as it slowly falls out of his stomach and while dying slowly.

Options are valid requests, I am a fan of options in games. I personally would no use this one, but I am not going to flame the person for suggesting. With all the attention governments give to violent games having options would help take the spotlight and hense the blame for everything on games.
