Customization is very good and thorough.
Upgrading gear, weapons etc is also very good and give the upper hand if stats are good. But then again in the end is all about the skill of the player.

Only concern is same as other's, in a way it is a bit expensive!..
The fact that someone can add extra objectives of their choice to earn more credits to be able to buy stuff is very very good, but customization itself still feels expensive somehow..

Customization is good, but doesn't feel personalized to me.

Would like colors to not be templates. Having the ability to choose every color on our armor would go a long way. Having your crest look more natural on the armor(not showing boarder) and such. Was surprised to see stats come with the gear you pick up. I expected(my fault, not yours) every mode to be purely skill based. It's still a skill based game, but extra stats make a huge difference when your opponent doesn't have them. wouldn't mind armor and weapons being purely cosmetic. Still impressed, but its the little things that make something great.

    Color Palletes

I wouldnt mind having the ability to create my own color pallete for my neutral tab. I understand keeping the attacking and defending pallete the same as is but it would be a fresh idea for people to be able to express themselves a little more and really immerse themselves in their hero of choice.. The ability to pick 3 colors of our own choosing for our neutral tab would be my 2 cents on the subject!

Great Job all of you! this is the game i've long waited for. I would be happy paying for the game as is. good job and see you all in the beta!

I like all the customization but it would be nice if it would select player to copy their color pattern for team based activities oppose to always blue and orange.

Player Symbol Not Visible by Other Players

This is really my only major negative about customization.

It would amazing if other people could see your player Symbol, and it would make it possible to have a visual representation in-game that you belong in clan with a common symbol.
It just seems wasted if only you are able to see your own Symbol on your back or chest, especially since it is implemented pretty damn well and I would love for my friends to be able to see mine and for me to see theirs while we are fighting or rushing a zone.

    Visually the customization is fantastic.

    Regarding "Stat Customization":
There needs to be an option to disable the stat bonuses of Weapons/Armor.
You could do this a few ways.

    1. A "Ranked" mode where stat customization is automatically turned off.
    2. An option to disable stat customization for lobby hosts.
    3. If For Honor gets dedicated servers certain servers could have stat customization turned off.

-Love being able to modify the gear's looks while keeping its stats

-Wish gear could be transferred between characters

-The "Improve stats" option is a little confusing. I accidentally destroyed some gear I was wearing the first couple of times because I thought I had already selected the right one to destroy. It should be impossible to destroy the gear you're currently wearing. If you want to dismantle it, you'd have to switch to something else that you want to keep first.

-Wish we could change the color of symbols and tattoos. Some of them are much harder to see on your character because for some reason the default colors aren't all the same. E.g. the Tree Of Life is light green while the Horse head is black.

-It's a bit ridiculous that a whole new character (e.g. the Conqueror) costs the same amount of steel as a simple skin. Outfits should be cheaper.

Otherwise the depth of options is impressive.

    Customization was lacking I felt.

EDIT: This poll is now closed. Thank you, and don't forget to check out today's poll on Combat!
I am happy to see that some customization was available in the alpha. There were some things i liked and some i did not care for which I will go over.
I spent a while in the game and and with the amount of options available to players, everyone's characters pretty much looked the same. There was nothing that I was really striving to unlock. I was playing to see what there was. Towards the end of the alpha, I was bummed to see the lack of differences in the way heros of the same class looked. With only 6 available characters to play, I would have liked to see a robust customization menu. Some things I would like to see:

Basic face options (Hair, eyes, facial hair, tattoos)
Scars (like tattoos it would be cool to unlock battle scars for your hero as you level up)
More armor and weapon variation. (it all looks so similar. even the special "outfit" that was for Ubi employees that we could not use was not impressive.)
    Weapon paint/skins
No color palettes (being able to select individual colors would be much better.)

I did like the engraving aspect that could be applied to some armors and hope that will carry over to weapons. For the most part, the alpha was a good start. I know some players may not care as much as me about customization but a lot do.

For Honor has a great customization system but, it could be even better

    Hi Ubisoft Montreal,

Really love all the customization option in For Honor and it's pretty mind blowing that you can even customize each part of your weapon still, there are a few things I would love to see added. For starter, with all the customization options it is disheartening to see that you still end up looking exactly like everyone who uses the same class as you, I played every classes but, my favorites were the Samurais and especially the Kensai and since he was also my brother's main choice too, it was annoying that we looked like clones. Thus, I hope there will eventually be a fully detailed character creator and shape editor and maybe even a cosmetic armor customization such as Soul Calibur character creator removing the need for every Kensai to have the exact same floating back shoulder guard. As for the color option, I do know it is used to clearly represent each team which for that purpose works really well on a game play level and is the most clear of any online games I have played but, on a customization level it is very annoying to be forcibly dressed in blue, I do know it is something hard to change due to it's incredible game play value but, you guys are the developer and we know you sometime pull-off a solution to the impossible, such as the awesome use of the right stick for combat, at least allow us to customize different part of our armors in different hue of blue or red accordingly. Also, I would have said to add the option to chose gender but, I found out that you actually can change the gender in the customization menu but, I didn't realize there where female characters beforehand since they looked extremely like males which I can't help but feel is atrociously sexist but, coming from Ubisoft after their Assassin's Creed Unity explanation that they can't animate females has playable character, I do see they just rushed the females to basically be males character so they wouldn't have to deal with any of the animation issues they had earlier. Anyhow, I just can't believe this is a Ubisoft game since they become synonymous to a rushed yearly copy-pasted title production company but, For Honor, at least from this early impression, just stand out as what I am expecting to see from a high quality AAA company that has the endeavor of bringing gaming as a new art form and strives to create new innovative titles in the gaming space. I for one, would have certainly bought this game on day one as I was simply hooked to this alpha and I just can't wait to play more unfortunately, in this heavily competitive industry, especially for us Montrealers (and Canadians) who must also pay a exorbitant markup on game prices, For Honor is releasing in a time frame of direct competition to both the much more appealing For Honor Gold Edition and also the game NiOh as such, I will have to play NiOh until For Honor Gold Edition or a For Honor Complete Edition hits the stores at $79.99.

Thank you so much for creating such a awesome game

Ubisoft, you said you TRULY wanted the community's feedback? Well, heres mine :).

    Ubisoft,

Overall what a great game! What a MAGNIFICENT start! For Honor is probably my MOST anticipated game! It's very tactical, by NO means a button masher, extremely innovative, and TRULY a one of a kind! Hopefully it becomes a trend setter because I am Exhausted of the saturated 1st person shooters in games nowadays. For years I would speak to friends about a game that plays like this! I love this game! Just a couple VERY IMPORTANT things I think will make this a game that will last years and NOT months.

First, the SIZE OF THE MAPS NEED TO BE LARGER in Dominion. The Knight map should be the smallest you guys have honestly. How small the maps are PROMOTE chaotic 2 & 3 on 1s! When that happens occasionally, that's one thing because that's a part of the mode, but it happens so much so that the point of the game not being a "button masher of sorts" is completely lost! It's stops becoming strategic! It looses it's essence within 5 rounds of the game mode. Either larger size or more holding points to disperse the numbers. Since this is the MAIN MODE, this is CRUCIAL.

Finally, I would say though it's fun, it could potentially get old if there's NOT a big variety of content. Dominion and the Battle styled modes are great, but may get really repetitive. Maybe Capture the Crown would add to it. DEFINITELY some sort of transport mission! Almost like Overwatch. You and your team have to protect an AI Queen or King of the board and escorting them from A to C! Make it in rounds! Also, definitely be more maps, Atleast 15 characters in total to pick from (5 per Faction even if 4 are later DLC), a lot more variety in character apparel colors and customizable gear and weapons, and MOST OF ALL in Game Modes! I know this was just an alpha, but I thought it be key to say this stuff!

Thanks for such a new style of play, Ubisoft!
