Ah yes, I forgot to mention that. It's great that we have full gender options for all six classes. That being said, from what I understand, the remaining six classes are all locked to one gender or another. I really hope they go the full nine yards and make the remaining six classes available to both genders. That would be great!

    Great so far...

First off, I love the overall game so far. It's intense, fun, and the community has been pretty awesome.

I do like the options to change/enhance our character appearance, the details are pretty good. But as someone mentioned in an earlier post, opacity would be a great option to have with some of the color schemes. It took me about 20 minutes to play with the colors of the emblems n such to get the contrast just right. It's still a little tough to see, but I really don't see it as a major issue.

Also, maybe there could be a color wheel/scale to get the exact color that's being sought? Just a thought.
Keep up the great work. Back to hacking them up!

So this is my character customization so far. I got everything looking how I like it pretty early, and except for the color of symbols on the front of the legs, everything is fine. I make little changes when I get new items but this is the basic look I'm going for. Really pleased with it so far.

I like the customization options. The current options are enough, though I hope y'all continue to add weapon and armor variations. It makes sense that there would be more variation among higher-level characters, so I hope that's the case.

Emblems are cool, but how often do other players see them clearly? The icons are so small in the match lobby that the design is wasted. I like being able to put my herald on a shoulder guard or tunic, but it's strange that we can't put them on shields. Also, I had to move everything on an emblem after changing the frame because that somehow moved the center.

I've made two emblems so far: one for my knights and one for my nords. It would be nice to have the option of automatically switching emblems when I change my faction.

Because there are 3 color schemes per character (neutral, attacker, defender), it would help to switch between them with a button while customizing each gear piece. Colors affect visibility of some designs, so we should be able to see how a piece looks in each color set without backing out of the editor for that piece.

Glad to see all the options, but more is always better!

I saw that you can display your Emblem with the Warden (on the back) I'd like to see this available to every character in some fashion, maybe on the Conquerers shield? Or on a Sashimono for The Chosen?

    Emblem not visible

I don't know if it is a bug or not, but if i choose my emblem on appereance on my back as warden, it is not visible for other players.
I hope you will change that because it would make spotting my friends a lot easier and it just looks badass!

    - Sometimes the colourisation can lead to not seeing symbols very clearly on our armour. Would be nice if we could play with opacity values to make them more visible.

    - It can be too easy to destroy the wrong bit of gear, when trying to use one bit to empower another. I did it the wrong way a couple of times before i realized fully that you have to select the gear you want empowered before the one you want to use to empower it.

    - The materials usage doesn't seem that clear, or easy to use. Despite it seeming obvious, when you click or unclick at the moment you don't see much of a change.. granted it's early days. Personally i think it would be better to have each section listed, but them be able to select from a pop up of materials which are available. So rather than the tix box, you can select which you want to use for each section.

    - On the outfits page, can you add the current outfit to that page too. When you go there you just see another which is listed as 500creds but it looks the same as the initial one at the moment, can't see any difference, but because you can't hover over what you are wearing now to compare it.. it's difficult to judge.

    - Back on the symbols.. sometimes there are 3d studs on the chest plate on the Oroshi (for example) and the designs are obfuscated by those. Would be nice ('if its not too technically complex in your current codebase) if the paint could overlay those studs so that the design is clearer.

    - I love the idea of the engravings.. but again like above, you can barely see them.

    - Would be awesome if you could 'spin' the character on the screen with the mouse (left click hold & move the mouse)

    - When viewing the arms for customization, the details panel (bottom right) is in the way. (If you could spin your character, maybe even zoom in/out on it too, that problem would be remedied.

    - The overall look and 'feel' of the customization, including the 3d positioning of the items is great. Well done, loving the attention to detail you've put into this game.
I personally found the menu's and UI in the customisation very easy to understand, I don't know why you had a problem with destroying the wrong bit of gear.

You can spin the character around, L2 on a controller while looking at your hero.

Outfits need to be equipped, you can't just buy it and think it's on, buy it then equip it.

On that note, customisation is much better than what I thought it would be, fine the way it is in the Alpha and has different options for each character. Changing the gender is something I didn't expect and am greatly surprised in a good way, keep it up, Alpha is great!

I do like the effort you guys put into the customization so far. A couple of things I'm hoping for is that genders can be changed between all future classes (c'mon Ubi don't pull an Unity again). Some vastly differently looking, so far gear looks too similar and everybody looks the same despite the fact they are probably equipped with different gear. Perhaps a rarity system for the gear might be an improvement as well.

That rarity improvement is a great idea, having better looking gear the higher the rarity and superior stats, also making the random gear you can buy with steel a chance at rare the higher the steel cost.
