How about decreasing the stats gap from default gear to rarest maxed level gear? This is likely to be the biggest threat to balance and threat of pay to win, if there are micro transactions.
And on ething I haven't seen being mentioned is that we can use the money got form one hero to buy gear for another. This helps a lot in starting to use another hero. But even with this feature, the big incnetive is to NOT try a new hero, as you'll be severely gimping yourself against someone who is only specializing with one hero.
The stats gap should be decreased. Maybe upgrading a gear should give you a proggression spread accross all three stats. The overespecialization of 1 stat is one of the big problems (along with actually upgrading your overall stats, instead of actually trading-off).

More variety please. The armour patterns all look very European. They really only fit for the knights. There needs to be more wavy things with runes and serpents for vikings and more japanese patterns for samurai.
Also, I get that the main colour is decided by which team you're on. I think the big icon is enough but whatever. But at least let us pick our own secondary and tertiary colours. Why are those locked too? As long as we don't use the enemy colours it should be fine, right?
It would also be cool if we could pick hair colour in addition to skin colour.
Oh, and it would be really great and if the vikings weren't all disgusting and dirty and grimy. In the Scandinavian languages, the word used for Saturday is Lördag, (spelled differently in norwegian, danish, and icelandic, but the same word nevertheless) because for the norsemen that day wasn't dedicated to the roman god Saturn, it was dedicated to lřgha, which means washing oneself. The vikings were very keen on personal hygiene, and not a bunch of dirty barbarians.
