We need to stop people who, when losing a battle, retreat the the safety of a nearby ladder. If you follow them down then they can punch you in the back of the leg, causing you to instantly die. This is about as realistic as Call of Duty's old knifing ideas. This leads to another problem - you can only attack upwards on a ladder. So if i follow my enemy down the ladder I can only reach up and punch the air. Please tell me if i have been stupid and missed this but I should be able to kick my enemy or something. Using the fast attack button to kick and and heavy attack button to punch would make a fairer ladder battle.
There's actually a fairly simple solution to this. I believe that you can still drop attack them the moment they get off the ladder and kind of land on their body once they get off the ladder. You'll sustain a bit of damage from the fall still. But you'll 1-hit kill them which serves them right for abandoning a fight like that. Only kind of situation where that's acceptable is when it's a 3/4v1 and there's no sign of back up arriving.
if you're chasing a dude and he's taking the ladder to go down and you want to follow him simply press O(for ps4 users) so you slide down the ladder that can give you the kill. i hope this helpsOriginally Posted by jlennard4 Go to original post
When you're at the top, you should be able to kick/push down the ladders! That would be pretty cool, especially if someone was on it! But tactically it would be nice too because you would actually be fortifying A or C... narrowing down the paths to those points. Making significant changes to the environment like that would be awesome.
It should completely deplete your stamina... or maybe require 2 heros (like 2x Orochi).
If your soldiers control B and the opponents control C... if the ladder is down, they could lift it back up.
The reason why i disagree is because it makes the game a little more tricky when people pull stunt like that it can be funny but at the same time force me to adapt so i woould keep it the way it is. Keep the game challenging.Originally Posted by jlennard4 Go to original post

I don't really know how it should be fixed. I suppose one way to do it would be making the pulldown whifff if the guy is still getting on the ladder. This would give him time to slide down on you. Another option is making staying on ladders (for more than the time you need to climb them) drain your stamina quickly. And yet another one is removing the pull option and allow ladder attacks to only be made from up to down, by sliding.
A fancier way to solve the problem would be to add the option of shaking ladders, from top on bottom, causing the enemies to fall. Remember: we don't need the ladder sto reach any location. There are always stairs, too. The ladders are aluxury and the priority should be given to those who are not on the ladder. The current exploit of camping near the top of the ladder violates such priority.
