I haven't read all the comments, but really guardbreaking is OP. If I see someone staying in guard or ready to parry all the time, I just dash in, guardbreak, and beat the s**t out of them. There's a counter for everything; some very hard and some easy but it's doable.

that's the entire reason Orochi are broken. they do not EVER have to initiate. they just stand there and if you attack, they parry/counter (followed by combo pressure because apparently they have fewer recovery frames on block than most other characters have on hit). if you sprint, they sidestep slash. if you try to get in close and GB, they backstep slash. they literally never have to come to you for any reason. and on top of everything, they're faster than Berserkers AND have more range.

crutch character for bads and tryhards only.

I can help. I don't remember if other classes can backstep but even if not baiting and feinting is your best friend. Feint a hit to get them to backstep or sidestep (usually the attack after comes from your left, and sidestep is obvious), block/parry in that direction and punish them. Also feinting into GB is a bane for even a competent Orochi. Other than the deflect, their attacks can be defended and punished as such. Most Orochi players use these tactics; just be patient and don't spam buttons cause that'll put you at a disadvantage. It's the few skilled ones that know how to feint dodges and hits as well that can be a problem but by then it's cause of skill and not broken. From experience, dealing with them is no problem once you take the time to learn their combos. Hope this helps!
