Bigger Maps (Possibly requiring bigger game modes?)

One complaint that I commonly saw throughout the comment section of Youtube was that there weren't enough warrior civilizations added...

BUT the comments relevant to this topic are all asking for Bigger Maps even with potential cavalry added to the game (Not sure how that'd play out). However such maps would require more than a mere 4v4 (which I think you already have planned for bigger gamemodes).

Personally I'd like to see bigger maps as well for both the Multiplayer and the Campaign. So far from what we've seen all that there is to these maps is a fairly linear direction. it doesn't really feel like you're fighting inside a massive fortress. It feels more like walking on a big lane with some raised sidelines. Saburo mentions that his Fortress is lost and I just look at it thinking "We entered here with a couple hundred guys and only went down a practically straight lane. Your fortress looked WAY bigger on the outside. So perhaps adding more objectives and areas to enter would make the Campaign maps feel even bigger and possibly extend the time of the game leading to more satisfaction?

The assault on that fortress was supposed to take place halfway through the Viking Campaign right? If so then I'm a bit concerned for the length of campaign as each of those levels could seemingly be done in less than half an hour. Heck if you speed run the thing it seems like each mission would take about 10 minutes. Which I hope won't end up being the case. If you find that the average time it takes to complete a mission is feeling a bit short, then add some objectives. Maybe even bonus areas that you have to search for a bit to find but will reward you if you do so.

In the end though all of my concerns come down to the same topic. We want things BIGGER to make us really feel like we're not just a small force, but instead like an army storming a fortress in both the Multiplayer and the Campaign.

Thank you for reading this far.

I agree, though I have my concerns in the amount of leaving players of the losing team if matches take more than 15 minutes. Sure maps can be made bigger but that's going to take a lot of work even though it would be great to see that happen. I mostly hope there will be more maps and by that I don't mean maps that are exactly the same except in looks (viking, knight and samurai style) cause I have a feeling that is going to happen.

Yeah, that really would draw out the fight quite a while. But at the very least you're still going to get a win.

Also from the looks of it and how the different maps play out already, I don't think we'll have to worry too much about 'Same Map different Visuals' syndrome here.
