The title of the game is "For Honor" right?

As far as i know this game is named For Honor not lets scream and caps lock "pussies cant even fight" or "I ****ed your *insert family member*". I have had the wonderful privilage to had been able to participate in most if not all the Alphas for this game, this will be my third alpha for this game and i believe there has only been three. when i played the first alpha it was an amazing game even at such an early stage, but what really made the game was the player community. The players really took to heart the name of the game, For Honor, plays fought as great warriors and clashed with each other. When a player would come up against an enemy they would throw up an emote as a sign of Honor for their foe, if the enemy returned the sign it was a universal understanding that that was instantly a 1v1 between those players, even in dominion. It was a very fun and great way for players to enjoy the game for what it is meant to be, a game about honor in battle. Ever since that first alpha each alpha i have played has become worse and worse in this honor respect. This alpha is by far the worst. I have come up on countless games were enemies would start fighting someone and instead of the team running to other objective to help the team they would all gang up on one player and make it impossible to win. What is worse is there is a new dishonorable play style where a player will sit near a ledge that was open and wait there for people to fight him and instantly throw them off the edge with no effort or skill in their abilities. And to make everything worse i have come up against players who have nothing better to say at the end of a match but insults and slurs for no apparent reason other than to insult and provoke people, these people i see as the worst of the worst. All i want to get across with this thread is to tell everyone to fight honorably and for people who feel they are the most important people on the planet to go back and play call of duty and insult your fellow degenerates. Sincerely a wishful warrior.

Hm. There is some truth in what you just said. It is indeed very heroic and honorable to step to your opponent say your name, bow, and fight while the others stop fighting to watch your clash. But to be honest, as much as I know, this kind of thing happened very rarely in real battles, only when the two opponents were extremely famous and respected, so when that happens to you, you can feel very honored indeed just by the fact that this respect has actually been given. You have to earn this in many many battles. These were the battles' special moments, happened maybe once or twice - these heroes had the privilage to start a private fight while the others continued to achieve their goal, like occupying a hill or a castle to win the battle for their King. Because this is the most important in a battle: tactics, teamwork, vanquish and destroy the enemy for the King and the Country. Always try to attack overpowered, try to trick your enemy, flank behind, scare them, kill most of them from as far as you can because that's what matters: Victory. But never beg for mercy when you're about die, never quit from the battle, respect your enemy for their braveness after you slayed him teamed up with two of your comerades, never complain when you are outnumbered but do your best and die like a hero: that is Honor.
This kind of 1v1 fights for everyone in Dominion would just kill the point of the game mode, the tactictal gameplay and the teamwork. If you you desire this kind of honorable fight, you should just play 1v1.

I feel your pain man but that is a problem with a lack of respect in society not the game itself, and no one can fix this society as it is today.

There is no honor in defeat and no glory in death. Winning and surviving lets you dictate what honor is. Or some such. It's a game. And there are counters to most of these methods. A grab can be stopped either with a light attack (sometimes) or a counter input. Definitely not my favourite thing to run into but the terrain exists as it does and different heroes have different throw strengths for a reason. Control your positioning as well as theirs and do your darndest. Run from or space and defend in ganks (effort multiple heroes expend on YOU is effort that isn't spent on other fronts). Don't do rematches with players you don't like. Hope for the best.

And, if that can't be done just enjoy the hilariousness of the falling screams as you plummet to your death. At the end of the day the game can be super serious or quite silly and fun but YOU must decide which.

The attitude that destroys everything. In the gaming world it ends with more "Winners" (Fakers) than actually skilled players. Standing up to the abusers of the game, win or lose. As long as you did some kind of damage and saw their fickle attitudes shift showing more weakness and disbelief in themselves does have an honorable vibe to it... Naturally.

The rest of what you said I agree with. I like to face multiple opponents in this game as it leads to more creativity. If I can beat two, I've improved. If I can beat three I'm getting somewhere. If I can beat four (nearly) EFFORTLESSLY! I may not be the best but I'm definitely BEING something close.

They win in the short term and decide what it means, but over time everything around them decay. Because of the essence of their ways it all dies. Slowly but surely.

I enjoy doing this for example when i'm on a point capturing it and someone on the enemy team approaches we look at each other and I would emote and if they emote back we would then approach each other and fight for the point I quite enjoy doing that really.

this bowing emotes thing is roleplaying part - not every player likes this
if you do and other player not you are in dissaadventage beucase emotes tkae animation time - do that to berserker which jumps you you have 50% hp less, which means the meta will NEVER do it and punish anyone who is doing it

players play PVP to win/kill/oblitarate other players to have feeling to be better/skilled/ pro player and to achive that you will always want to fing edges to win like exploits/faceroll mechanics/not counterball mechanics

i did in the game spawncapming, raiders throwing all down, raider oroichi combo, spaming orochis 2 light hits, orochis parry instant dmg, 2 player combo spaming guardbreak, over the wall hits with kensei/raider becuasee of the long rage hitbox of the weapon

you do it everything to win - like any competion with other humans

and its true theere is no honor in dieing

The biggest issues are "No Penalties for Dis-Honored Actions." Those Actions Include:

1.Grouping on a single player at a time, bashing there attacks until they win (no skill at all)

    2. Once low on health they run away back to there buddies or spawn point so they can gang bang them again (as stated in 1.)

3.Instead of fighting they just constantly dash forward and try to grab you an throw you into or off a cliff

4.An one huge thing on both sides....Kill Stealing. They wait till the enemy is low on health then they run in and take the kill.(which the kill should be given to the player who does the most damage)

These are just 4 biggest issues so far (not talking technical right now, thats for a later post tomorrow)
I am going to post suggestions of what could be done to prevent these "Dishonored ********s" to stop there ways and be honorable in there fighting then Swing and Pray.

but one thing that i will suggest now, is to add Penalties to those who group up on one person hacking and slashing away until they die. The person being attacked by them should be given Increased Revenge state then mere 2 to 3 seconds. The more players on you, the longer your state is and the more health and damage you deal. PLUS during revenge the players should be fallen to the ground but instead they dont and when you do your "Revenge battle Cry" You already got hit 3 times and your revenge is over. Then 90% of the time you die.

This doesnt happen to me, happened a few times but it has happened alot of times on my buddies end. THIS needs to be fixed
