First off thanks for the alpha. I have enjoyed it very much. I enjoy the blocking mechanic you guys have I feel It makes the combat very engaging and feels skillful. I really like the range play for capitalizing on mistakes people make and using gap closing abilities. I dislike the grapple system. It feels very cheap to me not so much getting thrown but getting thrown off terrain. That being said I like the idea of getting launched off the terrain if that makes sense. I feel its to easy and doesn't take as much skill as the other aspects of combat. I feel like it needs a rework. Maybe force players to land a 2 or 3 hit combo before being able to grab. Not just stun me and nothing you can do about it. It should take skill to land it or maybe give the player more time to repel them. Possibly add a bottom direction to stop a grapple and push them back. I am sure my ideas are bad and would mess something else up but I definitely think your awesome team could do something to make it better and really make the player feel skilled when they land one instead of just dirty lol.
