@Yote already hit the nail on the head. Kill stealing from your allies only hurts the team. The more people realize that and the less pub matchmaking you do the better, but it's not perfect.

Right now playing as a Zerker I get close to 70 renown from a 1v1 so in 4-5 along with some captures I can get to feat four pretty quick. If I play with a group that is thirsty as hell and rushes around stealing kills and mobbing up on anyone in sight, I'm lucky to get to my 3rd feat before match end because each assist kill gives me 2-3 points.

I would also like a "hey I got this" quick chat and make it easy to throw out quick, I also feel like I need a sarcastic headshake and shrug for when my allies swarm in and "help" me often times feeding the target's revenge meter and breaking my combo.

Tbh I've had it both way's and the truth is this whole "Kill Stealing" in this game is a total Strawman its like those COD kids getting their E-Peen jollies off jabbering on about what their "prestige" and what their K/D ratio is in a Team DM mode sure I can get the obsession with this however this isn't a Team DM its Domination and what matters is Capturing and holding as many of the Cap Points to get 1000 to "break" the enemy team so you can stop the enemy hero's from respawning so your Team can Win.

Normally myself in Dominion I cap one point and hold it while the rest of the team goes to secure the other 2 Caps and even just doing that I'll rack up 11 Takedowns on a bad day usually 14-18 Takedowns without "stealing" anybodys kill.So sorry OP but this isn't really a issue you've simply brought the wrong mindset and try to apply it to a game where it does not apply.

I love it when people try to use "team based game" as a defense against their ******ed actions.
"Team based" means one thing, and one thing only: that there are two or more teams fighting. It doesn't mean communism-steal-what-you-can-kek. Especially when you can see that your friend is winning. All the time you wasted running up to steal could've been used to... you know, do something useful, like capping something, pushing mid, something.

I can agree with most damage done should be what decides who gets the kill. With one caveat, however. If you die, you shouldn't get the kill. At that point it doesn't matter if you did 99% of the damage, you died, so it wasn't you who killed them. But otherwise, yes, definitely give the kill to the person who did the most damage.

This wouldn't even be an issue for me, were it not for the fact that you have these dailies requiring kills. If you remove those, I don't even care who gets the kill.

I'd suggest you read what I actually wrote but I'll simplify it for you since you seem to have trouble with comprehension:

I can easily score 14 kills be simply capping a capture point and holding it without "stealing" anybody's kill just by solo killing any enemy hero that try's to take the Cap Point I have my 4th feat up withing a few minutes occasionally I'll run into B and cut down some of the enemy grunts before returning to the Cap Point to keep it held.As I said I've had it both ways I've intervened only when my team mate's health was in the Red usually just shoving the enemy that was about to kill him off a ledge only for them to yell "Kill Stealer" so next time I don't intervene and my Team mate dies now they yell "WTF Dude why didn't you help me".

Point being too many self entitled whiners like to have their cake and eat it well sorry kid that's not the way the world works and in this game who gets the most kills don't matter, what matters is capturing the Cap Points and holding them, getting 50 kills is irrelevant if your team loses because you were to busy trying to get a "awesome K/D ratio" to brag about later.

You do realise I wasn't talking to you, right? ;o So much for comprehension!

    I agree with you.
Dominion is so unfun because of that. I always do most the job and get only an assist. And sometimes I do only the killing blow and get a high reward for nothing...

I love how you assume I am some idiot who came from COD. I hate COD I have not touched COD since World at War, and stopped soon as it became a hackfest. If you actually read more and not make up assumptions I was comparing this game to a MOBA. Since you assume I love COD its obvious you have no clue what a MOBA even is. Its a team based game where you capture areas by destroying enemy defenses and kill minions along with other players. Players who go around kill stealing just like this game ruin team work... My mind set is this is a team game where members are supposed to work as a team, not run in and steal the kill for their kill death ratio. Roll hit it dead on, but some people like DisturbedJim83 feels they are self entitled to do what they want, and justify it by saying this is a team game and taking someones kill is justified.I am sorry but your the one in the wrong mindset!

Slightly tangential, but I'll admit to having stolen kills a few times from idiot teammates who kept slashing at me without concern for friendly fire. So many times I've been at almost zero health and more worried about my "friends" killing me than my enemies. So kill-stealing is my way of getting revenge on those people since they obviously don't care about teamwork. Simple solution? Get rid of friendly fire, or make it optional for private matches.

And yeah, I'm in favor of the person who did the most damage to getting points for the kill.
