Here are some of the issues I have had with the game so far:

  • Inbetween rounds time is too long in duels. Why do I need to see 3 different camera angles of the stage every time a new round starts? Just make the announcer say Round 2 and go straight to the camera view behind my character and start the round.

  • Rolling and/or running should cost stamina because at the moment the opponent can just dodge roll over and over again with no downside. Maybe the later perks on release will deal with this but currently it's extremely unfun to play against in 1v1. Might be a balance issue in the sense of what the dev team balancing around? 1v1, 2v2, or 4v4? Most of the serious players are going to be doing 1v1 and 2v2's with 4v4 being the for fun mode since this game is more like a 3D fighting game if I had to choose a genre.

  • Bots randomly get placed in a 1v1 PvP match and sometimes a 5th bot will be placed on a random team in 4v4.

  • People are able to somehow change their attack direction even though the original attack is already being animated (no they are not animation cancelling the original attack). Example: Opponent does a Left attack and the guard indicator shows to block left but halfway through the attack their guard indicator changes to Top even though the Left attack is still the attack that will be hitting. Dunno if this is due to server latency or a bug but it's extremely hard to block this and doesn't seem intentional.

  • The end results screen where you can vote for a map and ready up is way too long. I want to play the game, not sit at a ready/stats screen for a minute.

  • The tutorial is terrible. It's extremely strange that you have to choose to not end the practice mode in order to get more info about the mechanics instead of allowing people to leave the tutorial after all of this information was conveyed. Maybe add in an advanced tutorial for each character because the videos have no pause or rewind/move forward option making it an absolute pain to check something on a character without sitting through the entire thing.




I'm not going to go into game balance aside from the stamina issue because the game isn't out yet and it's way too early for balance discussion.
