I like the emblem editor, it's a great addition to this game. But I have a few pointers to make it a better experience.
1. Copy symbols. Copy symbols to other slots to make sure the symmetry is really spot on, when using multiple of the same symbol (especially if they've been resized and/or transformed). It's been guesswork and estimates trying to achieve symmetry.
2. Snap-rotate symbols at 45° or 90° angles. Again, symmetry, but also make it easier to know that you're on the exact angle that you want.
3. Assign emblems/shield to different factions! Almost right away, I made a different shield for all the different factions to match their style/origin/outfit. I wanted to change between the different factions, but I also wanted to utilize the different shields I had made to the corresponding faction I was using. It is a lot of button presses to change the shield right now, and I might be alone in wanting faction specific shields, but it could be a smoother thing to change.
Good suggestions! Wanted to make a new thread, but I'll add my thoughts here.
1. We need more layers for the editor so we can make complex drawings for our clan. Think along the lines of how GTA V does it's crew logos.
2. Adding our crest to the characters is nice addition, but the way it is currently is really not good. We need to be able to remove the background and the borderline, maybe add tickboxes to each layer as to whether or not it shows up in the character customization, so we can have our shield emblem and the crest on our armor separately.
One other thing; while this isn't exactly about the emblems, let us customize the preset armor symbols (resize, rotate), let us change its color (although this is tied to the color palettes, some colors are lackluster and doesn't show off well i.e. Palette 26)
Good Suggestions, I wanted to add one more thing. I think it be cool if instead of being able to scale the size of the emblem we are able to change both the x and y axis of the emblem, so that we can change the height and the width. somethings just don't look right when the height and width are scaled. Also perhaps some emblems used for outline for instance, the current circle emblem is completely filled how about a circle with out the inside filled; not sure how to explain that well.
