Breaking / No way for the best team to win?

I have played at least a dozen games of Domination now where the best team with by far the highest score for the entire game loses because the enemy team survives breaking, gets an insane amount of points for doing so, pushes us into breaking and then wins. The game I have just seconds ago finished had a scorechart at the end with all 4 on my team with points around 400-ish and all 4 on theirs around 200-ish. We 'dominated' the whole game, and yet the game never ends until a break slaughter fest. No matter how big our lead, no matter how long the game, if they had 800 points and we had 1200, it never ends. I don't get the point in this? The best team is not winning. The one that does the best in a break is winning, regardless of all previous effort / skill / points in the game. How does that make any sense?

    Arguably the best team won.

800-1200 is still easily turned around if you don't hold your points.

I think there was one game were it didn't end with killing all the enemy players but it was a 1000 point lead. I don't think we killed everyone but I could be mistaken.

You can have tons of takedowns but if you stop taking objectives in the end and lose the break then you lose.

I think the break/rally mechanic is an awesome adaption to a capture mode and things can get pretty intense, especially after both teams have broke 1000.

When you're team is the one that breaks you have to get objectives back to push the other team under 1000, if you're the one above 1000 you need to be sure to stay above so the enemy can't respawn. Executions are especially valuable here.

Although I'm not entirely sure how individual player scores are calculated, I've noticed on a few occasions that despite having killed and captured more than some of my co-op partners, they still had a similer to higher scores than I. Not sure if it was because they boosted bases or killed more minions than I did but you might want to keep that in mind when looking at player scores vs who won the match.

When you're breaking the enemy team, hold yo damn ground, they're gonna try to cap dominion points to rally. You can then take them out the traditional way, if you're better martially.

You get vast amount of more points for killing minions and people then you will for taking and holding down objectives points. Don't go off score to judge how well people are doing in a match. Despite you getting bonus points for your team when you hold down an objective, such as A or C, you wont get score for it. So if your team is holding down mid just mowing down minions and the occasional enemy player, if you guys don't cap A and C, you will lose. While the enemy team's score on the scoreboard will look like they did nothing, it is quite the opposite.
