Gameplay is smooth, there's the occasional return to lobby when there are any connection issues but this seems to be lower than 1/20 matches.

I believe the communication system needs to be more intuitive, using the F keys is too disruptive to the position of your hand on the keyboard and therefore effects your gameplay too much. Through experiencing different voice systems in other games, i would highly recommend the system smite uses.

It would also be great if you could offer the option to adjust the colour of the guard reticles. Sometimes i find white not visible enough. Personally i would like to change the colour to teal to see if that is more noticeable, but for now we don't have the ability to customize our hud.

Also, it would be extremely handy if there were a button we could hold which would pop up an overlay of our moveset while the key is depressed. It is too disruptive and takes too long to access it via the escape menu.

Overall though, i'm loving it. I feel it is going to need much more variation in the future as i think over time the experience will fade, but with addition of new gamemodes, different warriors with different movesets, it should have great replayability.

Edit: Also it would be very handy to have a dedicated chat zone when we are in the lobby screens. It can be difficult to read if we are reviewing the information from the last game.

This game need dedicated servers. The only reason why I stop playing is because of host migration that dont work.

I think the game is awesome and pretty much ready for release. It's gonna be tough waiting for release, but glad I got a chance to play it and get a little better at it in the short time during the alpha. The animations and graphics are amazing, combat is very fluid. My only issues with the combat currently are probably just my own lack of experience and understanding of it all. I feel like it will have a high skill cap, and I like that in games, where I can work on getting better at them. I love the medieval setting, it's one of my favorites, and this game delivers in so many ways with such high production values I can hardly believe it. The developers have done such an amazing job on the game.

    Great work guys!

I'm really enjoying the game, the combat is fun and challenging enough where it takes a little skill to use properly. The game modes are fun, I really like Dominion. I do think there needs to be a little more tutorials when launched, I've noticed people running around with their heads cut off doing nothing, and I think a little explanation would help. The controls feel a little sluggish at times, but I don't know if it's because of the P2P or not. Matching guard and still getting hit with light attacks. I notice it in some, but not all. I really am looking forward to the full release of the game, once everything has been polished up. The only thing keeping me from pre-ordering is the P2P, as it does drop the fun way down. I know if there's dedicated servers, this will make the game a million times better.

The game is fantastic though, I have faith that it will get better.

The game is in closed alpha and looks amazing so far. I feel like it would shine after release but fall easily by time because it does not have something to keep you coming back. Is the same experience all over again. Maybe weekly mods or a massive world vs worlds map where you play as a whole army. So far I am very pleased with the game and will continue to play it. Great job!

combat still feels too slow and unresponsive, there seems to be little to no button buffering, the windows to pull off moves/combos seems a a bit too punishing especially as there is no clear visual indicator when to input commands its a big case of trial and error

I still feel the combat is more rock paper scissor and error punishing, attacking is something of a liability (unless fighting a raider) and theres too little room to make your own opportunities ,

really like the changes done to camera and keyboard and mouse controls they make playing with that setup much better ie viable!

    Just isn`t working

Alright, i think this game is going to be a flop. First of all, domination doesn`t work. It`s always 2vs1, which is hard. Or 4 against 4, just smacking swords around without tactical effort in defend/offend. It`s just who hits first and fast. The brawls aren`t fun, it`s just luck instead of tactical insight or skill. Second the option to flee when i`m with low health doenst work. The assassins is to fast and will get me every time. I`m just death, either I flee or fight 2vs1.

Also sometimes it feels like the stamina draign doesn`t work. When I defend just a combo about 4 swings and want to counterattack, they just give me another 3 swings. The stamina draign should be used tactical, when to attack and when not. Some heroes are just to easy and are constantly putting combo`s without a low stamina. I like the game, but the essence of this game is the skill and tactical insight. Not just smacking around because your stamina does nothing.

The amount of steel I gain each match is very low. Afterall, i would like to upgrade my hero, but upgrading the loot is to expensive. Mostly of the time loot isn`t of any use. Because of that i want to use it to upgrade the right weapon/armor piece. I was counting how much an upgrade cost and what i got. You need to pay around 9 till 12 steel, for an 1/20 upgrade on one of your stats.

Mostly of the time there isn`t loot around or it is not very useful. Doesn`t matter, if i get one or two loots more. No, we only get one item each match. Sometimes even nothing. Mmm, alright then.

More maps, more heroes. The game is going to be repeat itself. More gamemodes, like sort of rush with objectives would be nice. Just to take over an stronghold. Maybe even only with your faction, like faction wars.

The concept is right and very cool, but the outcome does not give me the right feeling. A lot of things are just wrong, and i think this would be just a short term game. I would not pay 60 euro for this game. Ubisoft just keeps disappointing me.

My first ~3 hours of For Honor Alpha

Hi, I thought it would be great to give a little feedback since you blessed me with an invite to the alpha.

I think the game is really great, I haven't really encountered any bugs. other than being pushed down 1 meter from a ladder nearly one shot me and stun grenades/traps not doing anything.

But my early 2 cents are:

-Combat vs. other heroes are amazing, engaging, tons of combos a high skill cap, but you don't need a lot of skill to have a chance. You need to place yourself strategicly and be smart to succeed.

-The tutorial left out the abilities, that kinda sucked, took me a little while to figure out how they work and I'm still not 100% sure on how they get charged/how to unlock them in game.

-Combat vs. Soldiers, is amazing at first, I'm really digging the berserker and his combos against soldiers are amazing, however I think it will get repetitive real quick with only one string.

-I'm still confused as to when to Dodge? Seems underwhelming.

-I hope that we will see more stages and heroes etc. but that will prolly soon come

-Ladders seem really dangerous and I have no clue how to "fight" while climbing and seem to just get killed everytime I climb a ladder along with someone else.

But you are definately in the right direction! Great job! Keep it up!

played 3 days about 30 hours together

    pc perspective

all things all useless to repair as long:

    1) we dont have dedicated servers - the amount of times i got kicked becuase host lost connection/rage quit is waste of time.
Ubisoft as studios/coorporation have enough money to do them and we are in 2016 were dedicated servers should be already in alpha and not described as a "feature, becuase we listen to players"

2)the responsivnes of keyboard and mause is totaly unacptable for reaction games.
In forum there is Dev-Thread about mouse sensivity of mouse and how it interacts with block/parry.
And there is statment that game was develpont for mouse using 1200 dpi.
a)who the **** uses 1200 dpi on mouse if you are palying games noadays and what do i do now with my mouse which has 8000 dpi -i paid for hardware for better palying exprience in games and now i have to gimp myself becuase devs didnt develop the game properly for PC player (the plebs tool -gamepad - is defenitly better then k+m).

when they fix this things PC players should come back and try game again, without is even playing legion better option

if they will not do realy good work with this two points,i will not play this game even if would be free to play

ps: the forum for "For Honor" is even worse then reddit. Can someone in publisher studio put some money for working hours for programmer to do real forum becuase this what we have here is just showing how unserious ubisoft as company is.
