I'm disappointed in my experience.
I'm having fun but still have reservations.
I'm loving the game but there's still some work to do.
This game is the bestest, don't change anything!
there is still as much to do as in the last alpha and here is the list of the stuff i think you should focus onOriginally Posted by Ubi-Gaidheal Go to original post
1. fix the awefull servers... the host migration and server issues all the time is so painfull and time wasting so PLEASE for the love of god get some propper server just for one of youre game ubisoft, just one, i beg you
2, nerf the ai a little bit not much just a little bit,
3, get propper match making, i allways end up on a team that have no idea what they are doing and allways VS a team of 4 players who have played the game for every secound it has been live... and no its not my own skills as i usualy have about twice the amout of point in the final score as my team,
4. where did the 4th map from the last alpha go? i enjoyed that map! (just wanted to get this in there!)
5. fix the bug for when trying to run backwards when out of stamina, the char spass out when you try to do that
6. balance the minions in the vs AI mode as the enemy minions beats youres every time if there isent a player to farm them
7. fix the grab mechanic, as a raider when you are running and trying to grab someone then you are going to miss unless you are perfecktly on point if you miss by an inch then its gonna fail
8, nerf the price for executions, 1500 for the scull cracker? realy? come on...
9.make it so you get one and only one color on youre player no matter if he is atacking or defending, the colors dont realy matter that much due to the big red og blue thingy over everyones headh anyway, and i would like to have the same costum outfit nomatter what side i am on in the match
thats pretty much all for now![]()
this is my impression and everything i have to say http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...7-Bugs-i-found
oh and ubisoft ... don´t you dare to downgrade the graphics again!!!!!!!!!
I like the game but there are plenty of issues (of course that is what this alpha is for)
tutorial
The tutorial was good but I think there are a few things that need to be in the basic one (I pressed go to menu instead of learn more so I don't know if they are explained in the deeper version) The skills and different play styles of characters should be a bit better explained.
multiplayer
There are a lot of connection issues. While playing I experienced some heavy lag in some games and sometimes the connection would be fully gone. This isn't because my internet was bad I had a connection with a speed over the 100mb/s and 0% packet loss. sometimes the game would crash as well giving me the error code: 3397432595.
The PvP needs some balancing since the orachi class is just a overpowered beast with it's incredibly fast attack rate it becomes unblock able and you cannot run away from him either since he runs faster. Several times have a entered a domination game against 4 of these and they just stuck together and you had 0% chance of winning. In duels you were just playing against random other players which means they weren't always close to your skill some were 10 times better some 10 times worse so I truly hope that there will be a ranked system for the full game.
customization
Overall I really love the customization of the characters the only problem is that it does glitch sometimes (about a tenth of the matches I played the visual customization wasn't there and in domination even the team colours were gone). I like how you can find new armour parts and weapons but I would like them to be more unique looking compared to the standard armour and weapon parts.
Great game, but still have some issues.
1. The Conquerors weapon is glitchy. Sometimes it seems like solid as a sword (it's weird).
2. When my friend started a matchmaking (he was the leader of the team) and I was just customizing my character the screen started to flash till the matchmaking screen appeared.
3. The optimization of the game (I think) is for the gamers with controller, because it's a bit hard to play with mouse and keyboard.
4. The cursor usually disappears and it's frustrating. I have to use the keyboard instead.
5. I can not quit. I clicked on Quit to desktop, then cornfirmed it with Space then nothing happened.
The visuals are awesome, the characters are great. Everyone can choose one which is close to his/her playing style. I am looking forward to the singleplayer campaign and more game modes. The customization is great too, but I read in some posts that the new items can be different from the standard items and I totally agree with them.
I posted this in the alpha forum, but upon logging into the game this morning, I saw the appropriate place you would like it posted. So, I am re-posting here:
I'll start by saying I have been anticipating the arrival of this game for over a year and a half, back when I first heard about it. So, I have been trying to be very objective, and not just bias everything to one side or the other. I have come up with the following:
The game is beautiful. The details, the art, the frame rate. Visually it is amazing. I enjoy the, very well created, genre's of each map, and style of the characters and cultures represented. I am drawn mostly to the Vikings, though in honesty, it is because I have Viking heritage in my ancestry (Rollo the First Duke of Normandy), though, I do enjoy the Knights, and Samurai as well. I feel that through the factions and classes, there is a play style that will align with a diverse group of gamers.
I like the combat system, but I feel that at times re-positioning the right stick while also attacking with the 2 right buttons can throw you off. Perhaps a Manual Controller Configuration to optimize play style, and user interactivity?
I started off playing Duel mode. Then, Brawl. Then, Dominion. Duel and Brawl, as my brother, whom I was able to invite, (thanks to you,) both agreed upon, is that the modes feel very "Mortal Kombat" or "Tekken" like. Not being a huge fan of those style games, I was at first very off put as to the game I had been anticipating. I was very concerned that once I reached Dominion, it would just be 4 vs 4 in the same fighting style game. I was about to be disappointed, but was instead, happily surprised to see the development into more of an objective based interactive PvP experience. I enjoy the unique twist on the standard "Capture the zones" style game modes. Utilizing the center point as an active battleground adds a new element that changes the play of the game. I also liked that the two outer points heal the team who controls it.
I think the game would benefit from having a variety of objective based modes. I think they should be based off of moments in the histories of each culture. Maybe great battles, or stratagems that helped turn the tide in a war. You have done amazing things with the realism of each culture and the histories of the weapons and armor. I would love to see that same passion for the three factions fleshed out into creating new worlds, and experiences. (Note: I would be happy to research specific moments and ideas regarding each culture. Contact me if you are interested) They could be variations on capture the flag, or major battles to hold a battlefield with as many players as your servers could handle, plus the minions. There are many great game styles that could be used or even uniquely created for this game and genre, especially with the three unique classes.
I like the social connectivity feature. I think it is one of the easier methods I have seen on multiplayer games.
I feel that there should be more available ways to leave matchmaking between rounds. I had to dashboard and crash the game to exit matchmaking.
I think there should be a thrusting/stabbing attack for reach, as well as a simple melee jab, or kick to disrupt an attack, or prepare to deliver a more powerful one.
I would also hope to see many more maps, equally divided among the cultures; 3-4 each would be very nice, but I feel also should be made usable in different objective game modes to be effective, and not use up a lot of system memory.
As I said, I tried each of the factions and classes, I didn't find any issues except with the block on the Orochi , which seemed to fail on occasion, maybe it was just my timing, though my brother also had issues blocking with the Kensei.
I really appreciate the opportunity to test out the game, and give feedback. I will continue to test it and report back anything I find, or any further comments. Thanks, Joe
Graphics are great so please don't downgrade them! Also I do feel that the quick chat text could be made a bit bigger it does look small, and I find when you request help people might not see it. And maybe if a teammate is requesting or saying something they flash on the map. I also feel one of the Vikings are a bit overpowered or one of the samurai health is very poor the Kensei is fine though. I love the game.
The game is in closed alpha and looks amazing so far. I feel like it would shine after release but fall easily by time because it does not have something to keep you coming back. Is the same experience all over again. Maybe weekly mods or a massive world vs worlds map where you play as a whole army. So far I am very pleased with the game and will continue to play it. Great job!
Let's start of with the part where i absolutely love and hate this game in it's current iteration wholeheartedly!
The good
- The graphics and animations are topnotch in my books, i like how the animations have real 'weight' to them and combat feels just how i wan't it to feel in a game like this.
- Many may argue with this, but i think the class balance is pretty darned good! There are goods and bads in each of the classes. I've beaten each of the classes on different heros, but there is no 'jack-of-all-trades' class, so don't expect to win everyone and thing with your chosen hero every single time! (this is the reason for the 'this and that is OP' whine-threads). Bare in mind, that we've yet to see half of the heros (classes), so 'nerf this, nerf that' posts are pretty ridiculous.
- Customization and gear upgrading is a nice touch (but definitely needs work in terms of clarity and variety). What i mean by clarity, is the fact that max stamina, stamina regen, etc have no numerical value, so i have no idea about most of the stats that HOW MUCH it helps the said stat. For example, which of the 2 is more beneficial to me? This is hard to know, since we have ZERO numerical values on stamina, HP, damage, etc. we just have a 'bar' that indicates pretty much nothing.
The 'needs work' list
- MORE customization in general, freeform colorschemes, dilly-dally cosmetics and fuzzy-dice for that sword pommel!
- Gear stats and stats in general in numerical forms! What does what and how much and when. More general clarity into the 'stats' explanations.
- Definitely needs more game modes and map-layout variety! (tug-of-war) / rush (from battlefield games). Possibly some 'dungeon-like' co-op scenarios vs AI and maybe even players, 'TDM' aka. 4v4 duel, first team to ~50 kills wins, no combat revives. etc. Mayde even a 'moba-like' mode
(just hints and suggestions, doesn't have to be any of these, but more are needed) I don't know how much of the multiplayer game-modes are being kept *hush hush* currently, so this might be a bust.
- MORE daily missions, MORE weekly missions (contracts or whatever). MORE CARROT is what i'm trying to say! Currently, after the two dailies, i've no carrot to go after.. Miniscule iron reward.. 4-10 per match and that one 'possible' loot at the end of a match isn't enough to keep me playing tbh. Without the carrot, i do not really see myself enjoying the game a whole lot compared to other competitive games of this nature.
The bad
- Ganging up. There needs to more 'tools' to have a chance with these, besides trying to run away. Reflective damage on friendly-fire OR more damage from friendly-fire would be one of the easiest ways to make people think twice before gang-rushing everyone.
- Some auto-locking ranges need to be toned down a bit, like the NFL-tackle on the viking raider, the shield-punt on the conqueror, sprint-heavy attack on most classes. (i've played all classes somewhat extensively, so im not crying about OP, it's just general fixes around the auto-locking range table).
The ABYSMAL
- PEER-TO-PEER. This is the worst possible idea for a reaction based multiplayer game period. This definitely needs to go on the back-burner and Ubi needs to invest in dedicated servers.
Just copy-pasted my previous feedback thread, maybe it'll get noticed in this one better![]()
