I'm disappointed in my experience.
I'm having fun but still have reservations.
I'm loving the game but there's still some work to do.
This game is the bestest, don't change anything!
Could you explain to me how to counter or play around the deflect? I think the free damage from simply blocking at the right time (a timing that most blocks happen anyways due to last second stance changes) is a bit too strong. No other character has free damageOriginally Posted by I Ciraph I Go to original post
Really enjoying the game but there are few things preventing my from getting it.
I wont be preordering either way, UBI doesnt have a good track record here.
but outside of that, im worried about the amount of content
1) How many more maps are we getting?
2) more details about the campaign, I believe i saw its multiplayer, how many total players can do it? I would love to see an experience like Battleborn when it comes to the campaign, love what they did there.
3) game modes, what else are we getting? standard stuff like capture the flag or even a TDM (20 kills or whatever), just copy what every other game has and i'd be happy enough, however new styles would be fantastic as well.
Im really please with the char setup (gear/specials etc), just need to know about the final amount of content
My impressions From playing the Alpha I began playing the tutorial and 1st the game is amazing, enthralling and exactly what I didn't even know I wanted ha but I feel there needs to be a better Practice arena...my opinion is have a practice mode that is a 1v1 setting thats similar too a Mortal Kombat type fighting game where you can determine the actions of your opponent in the settings and you both have an unlimited health bar...example being, I play as a Warden and I was in a duel with a Viking he used 2 moves that killed me almost everytime,he tackled me and then hit me with his unblockable swing attack and I was ruined...If I had a practice mode where I could determine the attacks/defence of my opponent then I could go in choose what AI BOT i would face (Viking lol) and change the settings to have him only use those moves that i need practice on then I would know exactly what to do in that type of scenario when I face it in the future. The tutorial mode now that dominion based is good but teaches me little about how to defeat every opponent I should face on the battlefield.Originally Posted by Ubi-Gaidheal Go to original post
Second time here in Alpha, still loving in.
One big thing I think would help keep PvP constantly entertaining without dropping group is shifting players around. Currently teams remain constant even after drops and pickups so often times I've seen 3 players and 1 AI vs 3 AI and 1 player. That's not inherently an issue but a player rotation after every game would change things up a bit so the experience changes every time. There should be an exception however for players who join as a party. If you'd like it could be optional, especially if you've got a group of 5 or more friends playing shifting them back and forth would probably make everyone happy.
As of right now, i'm really loving the game. However, there are a number of things you guys can and should improve on. I hear a lot of people complain about the Oroichi (i'm an avid Oroichi player myself) and to be honest i do not believe you need to change anything about that class. They're a low health, high skill class that people need to understand that they cannot just do big heavy swings at otherwise be prepared to be countered. Obviously the network system needs some improvement as there seems to be a lot of people having connectivity issues. Futhermore, i would like to see more diversity in the game modes. Maybe some type of mayhem 4v4 battle where there are no minions but its just 8 people in an arena swinging at each other. But again, so far so good! I actually am now looking forward to this game and what you guys will do with it.Originally Posted by Ubi-Gaidheal Go to original post
