I have been playing a lot of duels lately to practice the Orochi and I have discovered that when you are in combat it is nearly impossible to feasibly roll out of the way of an attack simply because nine times out of ten it lands perfectly and the opponent gets a follow up attack as well. Is this how it is supposed to be? Because I feel it is punishing players to harshly for wanting to roll away.
Yeah i feel the same way, every time I roll away the opponent runs up to me and slashes me mid roll. I feel that the distance of the roll isn't far away for some of the blades. Also if the samurai is going to have the fastest speed they have to have some faults. Damage is less or something because they can quickly strike, it doesn't give the user enough time to block one of the strikes.
Rolling doesn't feel like it even helps most of the time, due to short distance and slow fat rolls. It doesn't help that there is auto homing attacks on some characters either. I tend to roll if i'm getting ganked or stuck in a bad position, but whenever I do roll, I'm screwed by the spammers who already know I'm going to die.
