GTX 1080 Single Card & Duel Card SLI Performance

Cannot render anything above 40 fps in 4k resolution with GTX 1080 single card or GTX 1080 dual card in SLI. Remarkably SLI GTX 1080 runs worse than the Single Card. I've tried changing the settings around in game and none let me go higher in frame rate, I'm concerned.

Can you look into this and can you provide any information on launch SLI support for the For Honor title as currently it looks like no card will run 4k in For Honor other than maybe Pascal Titan due to unknown fps limitations.

    Thanks,

    Hi guys,

I'll have this passed to the team so they can take a look into this.

Thanks for the information, apologies for the inconvenience.

It is encouraging to hear another GTX 1080 has gotten the 60 fps at 4k, thankyou for that information. I'll keep testing out my single card. Hopefully SLI Support is intended for the game.

i think SLI will be (better) supported in beta. i assume you have the latest nvidia drivers installed.

i've read some posts about people having microstutters and performance issues. i can't second that. maybe it is a specific problem. good to see your problem got passed to the devs!

I hope you're right about SLI, I had high hopes for my performance in this game. I have the latest drivers and the response time to my inquiry was excellent, it really is nice to see it passed onto the devs.

SLI itself is known to not be very supported in games in general, there is plenty of videos and articles about that out there. Have you disabled the Vsync in the options.ini under Documents? Might resolve that low fps count. But in general, I think its more so the fact your are trying to run 4K res on an alpha build that most likely has little to no support/optimization for SLI(not bad mouthing, just making a point). So, run it at 1440p.

I run an EVGA 1080 SC, AMD 8530 at 4.2, 16gig DDR3 at around 1900mhz. I had a solid 60fps with a res of 1920x1080, because of vsynce with no drops. I removed Vsynce and how have 150+ with no drops.

I was under the impression that SLI/crossfire support was generally provided by Nvidia/AMD, not by the developers. In other words, you'll have to wait for a driver patch, and that typically happens a few days to a few weeks after the release of a major game. (Although I've also heard of ways to "force" SLI/crossfire support, but you'll have to research on their own).

On a side note, DX12 contains the possiblity for dev-provided multi-gpu support, but I only know of one game on the market that makes use of it (Ashes of the Singularity)
