Add Face & Body Customization please !

Hi i don't know if its planned ( or included in the Final) but please add a detailed customization for Face / Body & Hairs ! I played with some Friends of mine Yesterday and we all wish to look individual, like none other.

If someone can tell me if it will be included in the Final that would be Awesome.
The Only Thing between me and the Collectors Edition :P

The Patterns, and other Armor/Weapon Customization is ****ing awesome ! But i think many others mentioned that before ( also that the Steel Reward is too small).

Keep on the good work, I keep playing

    Character customization

    I second this!

I have been playing and although i absolutly love this game so far i pine for a customerization.
I love being able to customize my fighters. Not too fust designing the armour as this is required for skill boosts and what not but such like:
I play as a Viking Raider (because they are the best .)
So for me being able to remove the helmet and add scars / war paint / hair/beard colour/length.
personalize more of the armour colours or even if we can use the armour to our advantage and alter it abit so lengthen or reduce the fur, add damage to it like cuts or abrastions to it do give it more of a war torn look.

Just so we know who is who when we play with someone of the same class.

I can completely back this, if it had a Oblivion, Skyrim, or Dark Souls style customization it would help to individualize everyone and make the game way more unique. That was one of my first thoughts going into the alpha.

    Face & Body customization

I d not believe that this is necessary due to the already sound customization options for your warrior. I'd much rather some mechanical issues be repaired on time then Ubisoft give me additional customizational features that are irrelevant due to the face that the warriors faces is covered for the most part. Now for the story missions this would be a neat feature that would help immerse the player and get them a bit more invested for sure. The game is great so far and has already surpassed my expectations although id hope more game modes become available either by launch or via DLC.

Sorry to rain on your parade but I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one I'm afraid - if you have customisable faces, if they're shown you'll then need to mo-cap facial animations to replace the previous ones that only affected some characters' mouths and eyes (quite minimalist as it stands), and set all that up - as well as the more detail there is the more there is to compute, they'd have to design and create the system, decide if they want it to work off of sliders or presets (believe me, ruminating over that can go on longer than you'd expect) and when they decide they'll have to get Art and Design on it diverting attention from other areas whilst they decide which haircuts they should have to choose from, and programmers diverted from fixing the many bugs to make sure the jaw width slider is working correctly.

And even then, a sizable number of players would choose to use helmets anyway.

I'm sure you get my point by now, I can say from experience these things aren't quick or easy to implement especially this late in development.

I'd rather have a better frame rate and quicker loading times with more types of pretty helmet with interchangeable patterns and designs which are literally as simple as changing a texture layer, than a lower frame rate, slower loading times with less types of pretty helmet but a chiseled jawline, glorious beard and flowing locks (and if I play Viking I get most of them anyway) - as well as the fact that in the games' gritty realistic setting, it would make absolutely zero sense for any of the Heroes (besides the berserker for obvious reasons). In battle, your helmet is one of if not THE most important pieces of equipment you have, that's why it's survived all the way through thousands of years as a piece of compulsory military equipment.

TL;DR more effort for the devs than it's worth, wouldn't suit the game's aesthetic - more types of gear and textures/colours/symbols are much, much cheaper, quicker and easier to implement.

Face customization shouldn't matter since wearing a helmet. The only one that might not wear would be the vikings. I think that there could be more color, symbols, and even armor customization. For example, making armor have something like spikes and deciding whether to wear a tabbard on the knight or the length of it. D3 has some cool looking armor.

My other thought is that it is the alpha, so there might be some customization not active right now that is active in the full game.
