I'm not sure which one it is, but the one that can charge from afar is broken. He can stun-lock all day. Charge followed by block-break followed by insane damage. Also, all that character has to do vs the warden is side-step one attack and then you have an almost guaranteed hit because the recovery time is too slow. The blocking also seems unresponsive when taking successive blows. I'm not talking about two-hit combos, I mean that samurai can just keep hitting you. I move my mouse to block and nothing happens. Warden is great fun to play, but vs the samurai I won 2 duels out of 20. I won a few rounds, but it just wasn't a fair fight it seems.
Defense is the key with the orochi and DON'T do heavy attacks except when you success to feint him with the cancel attack function. Also it's useless to chain attack him with his counter attack so just make a quick attack then stepbackward then try an heavy AND CANCEL to do a light in the opposite direction, or put a viscious guardbreak to stun him and repeat. You need tohave patience (not very fun I know) but maybe this will help you a little.
Oh and what if I told you that the orochi is actually nerf than before...
This is the whole point of my continual balancing argument. Samurai wore bamboo and clay armor. The English used steel plate. So......tell me how the samurai is slower? The characters are unbalanced.....bad. Warden seems to be the "end all, beat all" character.Originally Posted by zide- Go to original post
Yes, I agree characters are unbalanced. My point was that Kensei and Orochi may be OP against some class but against the warden they are trash, like pretty much every other class.Originally Posted by AkiraGasaraki Go to original post
Personally I think there are balancing issues, but the issues come from us players mostly.
As many, I also assumed just knowing my character I could fight basicly anyone and win with my skills.
But soon i found out some characters I easily toppled whilst others smoked me. I was thinking damn Orochi and Raider are OP. (I play Beserker).
Than a friend said the same about Beserker whilst he plays Raider.....
After adjusting my play style for each character and opponent fight become quite equal to the point I would say noone is really overpowered.
Some require some more skill and patience.
But in Dominion this kinda falls apart. Which is why the ganking is a problem.
Now going 2 vs 1 that's no problem. The vengeance system is quite good and also it's all about map awareness etc.
The problem lies in the fact that when you get attacked by let's say a Raider and an Orochi you need to have 2 types of playstyle/defense at the same time.
Not to mention you can only block 1 direction so if they both choose a different side you always get hit.
But on the other hand that's what you get for flying solo, if it's a good group battle the problem becomes much less of a problem.
Orochi are just broke atm I play berserker and I'm being honest when I say it takes way less skill with orochi to spam low attack and dash low attack block opponent is dead or if smart running to find a friend that's not balanced ..... it should take skill not have auto damage almost after block they should be fast they should counter like idk a samurai but to hit like a dump truck....... yeah not so much! I know orochi fans don't want a nerf but check the lobby guys most of the time the orochi out number other classes that kinda says it all.... I just want this amazing game to have a long life span and a awsome community with honor on the battlefield ... but it's alpha and pointing this stuff is the point
