Hey, so I will be mentioning all of the above in the title. When the Alpha started it was super fun. Everyone was playing fair. In dominion they even let other people do 1v1 for the most part. Obviously not all the time, but you get what I mean. Now later on I noticed how BAD the lag compensation is. If you try to bash stun someone that is lagging it 100% does not work and the person lagging can attack you and hit you even though you have the right blocks. Now that's fairly annoying and all, especially in 1v1 or 2v2.
Now I play on EU, and I played with an EU friend when this happened; Most players were actually not scummy and they were fair to some extent. Especially in brawl.
Then later on I joined an American friend and played with him. LITERALLY every match, brawl or dominion, they ganged up on one person. And if they tried to 1v1 they honestly lost but they just ran off to a friend. And they just kept ganging up on people. And I know for sure these are American players because it was 4 in the morning when I was playing then. None of them played fair at all. Either ran away or made their friends gang on you. Not sure if the meta changed or if American players are actually like this. Not sure how this can get fixed, but this ruined it for me. Like it ruined it to the point where I might not even buy it anymore.
As soon as they saw a friend killing another guy they ran off and killed that guy, and then ran back with the friend to finish you off in a 1v2.
And also when they were low they ran and tried to run and never stopped. You could barely catch up to them. The only time you did catch up to them was when they did a mistake
PLEASE REMOVE REVENGE IN BRAWL. IT RUINS THE 2V2 EXPERIENCE
How can you let people get rewarded for losing? If they get a lot of blocks but have barely any health they just get revenge meter and 1v2 easily.
I won't comment on revenge and combat tactics much because honestly, I feel it is completely fair to use cheap tactics to win a fight. 1v1 is for honor.
In regards to lag, I have had some bad experiences as an EU player from as early on as 2pm BST. I have found as the night has gone on ( now 5am BST ) I have had less laggy players.
Those earlier in the day I had experienced vanished at times only for my health to drop and them do an execution animations in thin air to kill me. In one instance a friend and I were both defeated by the same laggy player at one location.
There definitely needs to be an option of sorts to search for similar connections when matchmaking.
I agree. Removing revenge from brawl makes it fair. Revenge should only really be used in dominion when you are outnumbered. Brawl should just be left as a 1v1 till one person wins and go help his ally, or you can put all 4 players in one room. Or even when separated, keep them that way till both battles are done. then let the winners fight it out to see who wins the whole match.
I am an american player and I'm with you. I prefer the one on one combat. Having a team group up on someone puts the solo player at a huge disadvantage and from my experience revenge hasn't helped me it that situation. Also when on the team that groups up i always get hit my teammates and my combo gets interrupted. Running away from a fight when you are low on health I feel is ok. Player deaths gives the other team points, so retreating to regain health should be left in. Unless of course you mean when their stamina is low or out. Then they shouldn't be able to flee/outrun you.
Well, what the players I mentioned do is not run away with low health... They know they are going to lose so they run super fast across the map until they make a mistake and die or they find a teammate. They never run out of stamina when actually running so they just keep going on forever. It's especially annoying when their team is breaking and there is one left and he just keeps running around the map not getting caught for literally minutesOriginally Posted by Draeoth Go to original post

Sure it's a team game, but they don't go with direct 2v2's,3v3,4v4's, or 1v1's. They seek out players that are a tiny bit further away and just kill them and go on. Either that or they run away from a 1v1 to join up in a 2v1 to later do another 2v1 against you. They do so much damage that they pretty much one-shot teammates
And when I was on the American servers it was NEVER pure. As I stated above, even in Brawl they did a 2v1. They literally ran away from a 1v1 to kill my teammate. As I said there is no real fix for scum players. But I guess you never got to feel this like I did. Although everything is better when I go on EU servers, for some reason
Yep this is very annoying, especially when you know you f*cking destroy them in 1v1
But cowards move by 3 or 4, rush a lonely player and spam him, then another etc, this is not funny at all
And the point system does not penalize such behaviours, if 1v1 could be far more rewarding or 4v1 penalizing, it could be much appreciated

Sounds like a typical EU player if you ask me. Then again you guys have always been tactically backwards since WW1. So I'm not surprised. Get with the times. There is no honor when you're dead. Also, if you really cared about "honor" you would only play 1v1, as 2v2 puts one player at a disadvantage if their teammate is bad, because it suddenly becomes a 2v1.
