The renown rewards, in Rainbow Six: Siege without boosters, is more rewarding than this For Honor Alpha.

I agree. More money please~ It would make the whole process and customization so much more fun. One of the best parts of the game, buying/finding armor and weapons and being able to customize each character. 10 bucks a round is heartbreaking.

Yes, need more steel. You'd think for a limited time alpha they would increase money rewards so people could test everything rather than just grind the starting stuff.

It's good that it is this way during the Alpha because it let us see that this will be a problem. It lets the devs know that there should be better steel rewards in the finished game and we've given them plenty of ideas on how to do it

As it is, you'd have to win 50 matches and get 10 steel per match, just to unlock 1 armor piece or customization at the cost of 500 steel. there were items of 1000 steel & higher as well. if it's an average of 10 minutes a match, then that's 6 games an hour without waiting between matches. that's 72 matches in a day without breaks, and that only comes to 720 steel.

there are players like me who can't dedicate every moment of every day to playing games since we have to work for our families. my suggestion would be more along the lines of 50-75 steel a match. it may speed it up a bit, but you'd still need to play several matches in order to get those upgrades. not to mention the daily bonuses and duels.

perhaps even add in a feature to duels where you can wager a set amount of steel in a bet
Picking up off the wagers in duel, if there was also a king of the hill type mode where every player can place bets on the outcome of the current match. Then on top of that, if one person wins 3 times in a row (three separate opponents) they get a 3x multiplier to the basic duel winnings (which I hope would be increased).

But back to the main topic, steel needs a huge boost just to be valuable. It's like having the chance to loot 10 copper in a fantasy game when everything costs gold. Is it going to add up? Yeah. Is it going to take a dumb amount of time? God yes. It's only going to get worse as you get higher and higher renown because you'll basically need higher and higher valued gear. Plus you want those awesome executions and emotes, it's gonna become a grind. For 12 separate characters as well.

If the game has micro-transactions, then I say we all simply refuse to support it, as fun as the game is. There is nothing good about overpowering people because they give you more money, the game is meant to be about skill, not who makes more IRL. Customisation is already bad enough as it is, you can really overpower the Orochi with full damage, but this kind of **** will be achieved on day 1 by richer people if they have microtransactions, meaning that skill isn't rewarded, but who sucks off Ubisoft the most is.

It's pretty disgusting to think that this game that's being advertised as skill based will be destroyed by such a greedy tactic, this kind of crap only belongs in awful F2P games, not in something we are all paying for up front. So, guys, if they are in the game. DON'T buy them, don't support such horrible **** and don't ruin the game for other people, no I don't care if you don't have time to play and need to pay to keep up, don't ruin the game for us and support this.

And shame on you, Ubisoft, if this is the case. Ruining a game for even more money - don't you make enough milking Assassin's Creed and your other franchises? Don't ruin this one.

well yeah 5 and 10 are a little low, i didn't find it to much of a problem. in one day you can rack up a ton of steel, the two dailies are worth 500, and could easily do the other 8 in one day. so and factoring the game played to do those orders, your looking at well over 1000 steel in a day. so well a bit more steel per game would be nice, i don't feel like it needs to be a huge amount, i would be happy with 25 for a win and 10 for a loss.

That's not even taking into account your losses.

It's a bit of a letdown when you go 15-0 and you still get the same 10 steel reward as your friend who went 4-3. It doesn't feel ample enough to encourage players to keep queueing.
I just hope that this doesnt lead to ingame store....

Yep, I received 3 Steel one time, if I recall correctly.

3 ****ing steel while boxes cost from 300 to 700 Steel
