After fighting a teleporting Orochi that would stand still for 2s then suddenly appear next to me and hit me thrice in half a second, who I presume was on a different continent to me, (especially after we spoke to each other via message post-game both equally frustrated at the lag) I 100% agree with this.

The peer-to-peer connection should have died with CoD and old Halo games - all it does is kill the fun, ruin the balance and slow the pace of otherwise brilliant games.

I agree with the idea of dedicated servers, atleast make dedicated Dominion servers.

if it's a singleplayer oriented with multiplayer addition, then it's somewhat make sense to use P2P...yet for honor is a AAA multiplayer oriented game.

Pls dev, stop putting for honor in a same place as fighting game. This game definitely need a dedicated server to even the odds on both sides.

    Loading Time

It seems as if there is nearly no chance to join a PvP match and even PvAI has long and annoying loading times.

Dedicated servers are welcomed, but bashing the P2P is not really the case. Why we just can't live together?

So matchmaking just requires more parameters or better game filter. I know they wanted to do cool map where you can decide to go duel, brawl or dominion, but like other games have proofed is we, the players, just want old school game search.

    • Select Region (for ping)
    • Dedicated / Peer / Both
    • Gametype for dominion, duel, brawl (checkboxes)
    • With AI, Only Players or Both
    • Maps (picker)
    • Mixed teams / Specific teams (Eg. Knights vs Samurais)
    • Rulesets (examples): Limited classes per team, ban some skills (eg. no bombs), match timer, allow revive even on breaking (respawn blocked but revive is ok)
    • Allow players to change their class middle of the match (not sure is it already, but couldn't find out)

i was really hyped for this game, but honestly... if too much is going on client side(ala division) or if it really is p2p without dedicated servers, i'll have to pass. Can't believe this is a thing in 2017.

will wait and see. (i was the type of player to get the deluxe edition in advance, NOT this time.) Fool me once....

1330 hours of the division got me questioning ubi products... thought they'd learn from their experience.

    Sad

I was really hyped for this game and was very happy to get into beta.
But due to this p2p I cancelled my pre order.

The combat itself is very nice and even though I would appreciate a bit more content, I was ready to pay for a game that just serves nice pvp combat.
For that dedicated servers are a necessity to me.

I hope you will change that some day, then you can count me in again.

Lucky guy... I should've been smart as you were, because I already bought the game, and finding dominion matches is literally a miracle. Loved the game, but I'll regret buying it if they don't change this p2p crap!
