Orichi is not a hard guy to beat. 4v4. People are going gang up on you. You have to have strategy. You can't go swinging at a guy that his whole fighting style is parrying and countering. Orochi is one of the quicker to gi down in a fight. The swords are lighter and faster. If their damage might be much Kensai move is a charge move so you see people glowing get put the way.
Like this guy says throw Orochi and you will succeed. He is a pain, but he weak. Have to be patient. Especially with his fakes. Warden gives him problems just watch out for side steps. Seems like you guys get a little inpatient.
Maybe upgrade others as the knight conqueror is slow and prone to getting whooped easily, it would be nice if all damage dealt were fairly equal and speed fairly equal then it'd be down to the players skills and abilities, hopefully add Romans, Spartans, Mongols etc at some point (hint hint Devs).Originally Posted by LeeStorer1993 Go to original post
In history the Samurai had the strongest and sharpest blades made so why wouldn't their damage be a little more. I will admit I am not very skilled in fighting and found using the samurai my best chance of winning because of the speed. I've played all characters so far was pretty good as a viking as well. I wouldn't say the Samurai or Orochi were unstoppable I had beaten them by taking the fight to them with pushes and guard breaks. But as an Orochi the character that gave me the most fits was the 2nd Knight the one with the flail or Morning Star or what ever you call that weapon. I lost to that character more than any other.
From my point of view the game is inspired from real combat and Orochi being an assassin he should have a lot of damage and speed.
I think people should stop complaining about characters being OP.
In a war you can't stop the fight because you think the enemy is too strong. I managed to kill Orochi with a viking and I suck...
Maybe allow only 1 Orochi in a team but you can always use strategy.
I personally think the game is quite balanced the way it is. I play the Orochi and the Kensei almost exclusively and I believe they are both well balances. I played against a fellow in duel yesterday for an hour and a half and he wrecked me 75% of the time with the raider. He was incredibly good at mixing in feints which would bait my deflect out and then I'd be screwed. He also mixed in throws better than any player I played. Given time everyone should learn how to handle each class.
I have to chime in on this "fact" you so solemnly presented. It has been tested and proven on multiple documentaries and discovery etc programs that katanas etc samurai 'blades' actually did pretty much nothing to plate & chain mail armors in comparison to broadswords and other medieval weaponry.Originally Posted by BubbaTheMan0359 Go to original post
Sure they worked in the east, where they wore mostly cloth and some dangly pieces of leather padding, but against chain, heavy leather, plate etc, slashing katanas are pretty useless.
That all aside, it's obvious that realism plays very little role in the damage calculations within the game.
Honestly.... come on!
The game is well balanced.
All hero have perks and downsides.
I use the Viking Raider and have taken down loads of samuri
The raider for instance has a damn hard hit if you manager the 3 hit on combo (the power hit) it will anihalate over half health of so it seems.
Samuri are fast even history research proves this but they are also not as strong as a viking or knight.
Hence the balance.
Its great to have a near well researched game for once
