I had the same problem until I pressed ALT + ENTER to geth back to windowed because I had it on fullscreen. Changed it to Borderless and now it works just fine. So try this.

Try verifying the files in Uplay and then launching the game from there. It worked for me!

So you must have the sound packages on a other drive and make a symbolic link with Link shell extension? because I have every thing on c drive but it still doesn't work

I rarely shut down my laptop because I have tons of work going on. One day while working all of a sudden, the display got vanish and was only able to see a black screen. Then I called one of my friends and he guided me with some steps that fixed all the black screen Error.

1: Delete the faulty Windows update
2: Reinstall Display Drivers
3: Rollback Drivers
4: Check External Devices

Actually, due to overheating my laptop shown a black screen but these steps solved the error in my laptop. You can also Fix Windows 10 Black Screen Error easily.

A piece of advice, do shut down your PC/Laptop after the work is done to avoid overheating.
