This fix worked for me. I know its for Steep, but its the same problem in this game as well.

Hi people.

I have encountered this bug and I have found a solution for it.
If you have a Raid 0 setup you have to move the files over to another HDD and symlink from the original folder. Or just install the game on a NON raid hdd.

Thank you! This worked exactly as it says, and now the game is actually starting past the black screen and I can play it now. It's pretty disgusting that this has been in so many of their games for years and they've never bothered to fix it.

thanks, this worked for me as well. Just move the sound folder into a C: directory and then use a symbolic link to that folder into the for honor beta folder.

Nothing works correct still have BS on lunch mode...

Ok so the solution that i have found that works for me (i have the game on D drive not C) is to use Link Shell Extension and create a Symbolic link with the Soundpackages in the for honor folder.

Same thing here man! I moved my game to C: and still happening the damn black screen and it seems that Ubisoft is giving a **** to us!
