Was there ever a solution to this problem? I can't find anything on any forums about a solution, just more people having the same issue.
Edit: I fixed the issue by uninstalling in uplay. Then when I went to download again, there was an option to locate game files. I chose this and found the folder still in my PC files. After selecting that, the game launched just fine. It seems the issue was that the game was drawing from the wrong file directory.

If trying most fixes here http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...me-won-t-start or by right clicking desktop > Nvidia Control panel > Manage 3d settings > Programs settings Tab > adding your game .exe to that list.. and all the other fixes you've probably tried. ...Don't submit a ticket. You will wait and be told to wait more for an email.
Edit : This is the stupidest fix I've ever seen and should be patched asap. I installed the game into my D: drive where my Launcher is, Copied and pasted it to my program files x86 in the C drive. uninstalled it from the D: drive, set file location to the C and reapired the game files. It worked.
